Hi...i'm expecting the arrival of my daughter any day now and i plan to babywear from the beginning....i've got a new native style pouch sling on the way and I was wondering if it was nesscessary for me to purchase an infant support pillow if I was going to my sling with my newborn.....

You can just fold up a receiving blanket and place it on the bottom of the pouch if you need help. The big thing is just to make sure that their little chins don't get tucked too deep into their chest as this "can" obstruct the airway...

I found I had to pad my pouch out with a couple folded flannel receiving blankets for the first few months. I put one under her backside, to raise her up a little, because she was kinda getting lost in the sling. Then I put another behind her head and neck. If you've got receiving blankets sitting around anyway, it's better than buying something new, and then you always have blankets right on hand for spitup accidents, too!
