I'm eager to start a sweater and longies set for my newborn due in January. I'm looking for a wool yarn that will be soft for a newborn but that will be effective for longies.

Any suggestions?

Irish Baby Knits Galenas merino is the softest, yummiest stuff I can imagine for a newborn. And her colors are gorgeous.
