Well, what about this quote:
"Moisture is sucked into disposable diapers because they are extremely absorbent. When cloth gets wet, Beuf says, it is held against the skin, causing irritation. "
In my experience, moisture gets "sucked" into cloth diapers too (it doesn't leak out the sides or anything). It's like a totally circular sentence, moisture gets "sucked" and disposables are "extremely absorbent"; sposies are extremely absorbent because moisture gets sucked, blah blah blah.
I guess what he meant to say is that the moisture goes into the core of sposies whereas moisture *may* be against the skin in cloth. Of course, if you have an absorbent cloth diaper, and you read FuzDaddy's article, you know that cloth can suck the moisture into the core of the fibers, resulting in a dry feeling surface, as opposed to a sopping wet diaper. Of course, fleece may help prevent the wet fabric from being against a baby's skin, too.
And he misses the whole point about what is against baby's skin instead of "moisture"-- bleached paper, chemicals, etc. Oh yeah, that's real healthy.
But yeah for Ann, I think it's great she's getting some publicity locally for her beautiful and functional products. She deserves it. It does seem kinda funny though to be thinking about "branching out" (maybe that should be branching in?) into a local market, when she already sells worldwide.
