It seems like most of the organizatios doing great work that i donate to mention mass vaccination as one of their major focuses. From all the reading I have done it seems that the vpd's (childhood killers as they are called) are responsible for a considerable number of deaths. I recognize that most likely it may not specifically be the disease that causes death but the combination of poor sanitation, malnutrition, no access to medical care, etc.. infestations of parasites, all these factors contribute to why these diseases are so deadly. My question is....in the case of developing world are vaccinations necessary?? Does the good out weigh the harm? I have also read and don't know if it is true but have read that the vaccines with mercury did not get destroyed but got sent over to the developing world??

When a child is starving, has to drink unclean water and is surrounded by war and stress, the worst thing to do is to inject them with heavy metal, neurotoxins, and carcinogens. Never mind the virus, they could probably still handle that but it's everything else that might be the final straw for them.

And yes, the vaccines that are taken off the market in the US are "donated" to third world countries with all sort of stipulations.

I'd just like to see some of the money going towards "helpful vaccinations" used instead to provide clean water and adequate nutrition for these communities.

Never mind if kids contract VPDs- if they're not dying or being disabled by them, what's the problem? Why not give these communities the tools to minimize disease (sanitation) and promote healthy immune systems (vitamin supplements and medical care where appropriate) so they're protected from all illnesses, not just the ones we've made vaccines for?

I wonder if they keep an accurate tally of what kind of reactions the kids have, i have also wondered about the whole fever thing, most of the vaccines can cause high fevers, and how do sick little bodies respond to high fevers. I wonder what we can do about trying to at least make sure the vaccines they give are the thimerosol free ones, and not to give too many at once. I am not trying to say that I know much about what all the problems are, gecause i don't, but at the minimum we should require the vaccines to be thimerosol free. don't know if i am spelling it right.
