I'm looking for some night time diapering ideas for Lily who is an extremely heavy night time wetter (pretty heavy day time wetter as well). She's just 12 months and currently wears an XL size. Thanks!!

I have been very satisfied w/Fuzzi Bunz w/JB or hemp fleece inserts. We have occaisional wicking when Ariel nurses a LOT, but no disasters.

we do 1 of 2 things
1. pocket dipe out of fleece with a prefold folded the 'wrong' way
2. a bikini twisted prefold with a wool soaker
never had a leak from either system

Unfortunately, for some reason, FB don't seem to work with her build, any time we've tried them, we've had horrible leaks.

I have been CD for a little over a month now.
I have a 19lb 5 month old who is a SUPER heavy wetter. He nurses during the night, but I cannot change him because he sleeps well and I don't want to wake him. I needed something that would work for at least 7 hours.
I tried 1 regular fancy doubler with fleece top. I tried doubling doublers with a fleece liner (WAY too bulky and not that helpful anyways...). I tried 2 newborn prefolds folded in thirds with a fleece liner.

What has been working for me lately is:
Premium UBCPFs
+
Hemp/cotton fleece fabric folded. I tried 3 layers last night which was all right but not perfect. I will be doing 6 layers tonight and I think it will work out perfectly. Even the 6 layer system looks A LOT thinner than a infant prefold folded in thirds and much more absorbent!!) 1 yd of hemp costs about 8.20 and it won't unravel, so all you need to do is to cut it.
+
Fleece liner (for the stay-dry feeling. You can get microfleece anywhere and you only need to cut it - no sewing needed)
+
Dappi pull on pants (Light, trim, won't mark the legs or tummy, relatively breathable, NEVER leak or wick)

This morning my son's diaper was VERY wet but he felt only just a little damo thanks to the fleece liner. The bed linen and clothes were dry as always thanks to the wonderful Dappis!!!!
I bet that tomorow he will be feeling really dry because tonight he will be wearing 6 layers of hemp instead of 3. I really hope so...

Good luck with your search for the perfect night system

I've tried tons of things, but right now my favorite is a Darling Diaper hemp pocket fitted plus a wool cover. The fitted is built like a pocket diaper, except it's hemp on the outside and microfleece on the inside. You can stuff it with as much absorbency as you need.

I'm also having good luckwith a wool liner to force the doublers to absorb as much as possible.

That's an idea. We have some Goodnight kisses. I'd tried those recently (we have the kind with PUL so I just used them as an overnight AIO) but they leaked but now I remember I used them for Lauren with a cover and they worked great. I'll have to try that again!

I have a large beautifully chunky-thighed babe. He's 26.5 lbs at 9 mos. He's a VHW probably because of all the night nursing. Like you, girlzmommy00, FB just didn't work for his build. We tried a variey of things but to no avail then someone suggested a nighty newts from little lounging lizards. We had success last night with it for the first time. I stuffed it with a JB (tho that's not how they're normally used) and put a layer of micro fleece on top and a wool soaker over it all. Bulk-o-rama but it worked . The diaper and insert were soaked in the a.m. but the fleece kept his bum nice and dry so he was comfy during the night, not restless the way he has been with other combos and we no leaks because of the wool. I am also in the heavy wetter camp! Recently we have been using a fitted (we have several types and they all work) with an infant CPF as a doubler and a sugarpeas fleece cover. This seems to work wonders! Also, I have a FMBG AIO that I stuff with a CPF as a doubler and no leaks there either! Good Luck finding the combo that works best for you!

2 yr. old ds is a super soaker For him, a nighty newt with an infant cpf in the wet zone and a fleece liner with an Aristocrat keeps him and the bed nice and dry.

Lil' dd does well with her sleep tights and an Aristocrat.

I use a Country Cozys fleece AIO with 1 or 2 fleece topped doublers (polar babies are nice and wide) and a prowrap cover on both my 11 month old and my 2 1/2 year old. My 11 month old has just started to finally sleep through the night (sigh) but neither boys ever have leaks. I love the way http://www.countrycozys.com fit.
