I'm really having a tough time with using cloth at night on my my 2-year-old dd. She is so wakeful at night because the wetness wakes her up. She will soak 2 thick chinese prefolds that I meticulously line with fleece. I've tried extra liners, but her diaper can be only so big. Can you just picture it?? There are no pjs big enough to cover this strange proportion

It doesn't wet her pajamas, but she just can't stand the feeling.
I'd like her to sleep through the night....well...I'd like to sleep through myself. I'm done with night time diaper changes!

The nights that she has slept all the way through is when she has a disposable. I had a few left from a 2-week road trip, 7th gen were on sale and those did not bug her skin. But now I'm out, and back to cloth at night and it is not working out again. I just really do not want to buy any more disposables.

So what do you advise? Give me your ideas! I've thought about fuzzibunz, but do they come in XXL? She's a chubby girl. How many lbs do XL fit?

Thanks so much!

I was a bit anti fitted's because they get wet all over and I felt that bothered my baby. I have got one that's completely fleece lined. I dont know about fleece though, in my experience it works great when its new, but then loses its effectiveness after a few months use. Our pockets keep her absolutely no drier anymore than just a prefold. So I wouldnt go mad trying to find something all fleece lined. That said, that may be just my experience.

Are you absolutely dying to use cloth at night? I mean, if you really think she's more comfortable in a sposie, why not just stick with that? You dont have to be a purist you know, every sposie you DONT use is helping the environment and good for your daughter. She will not develop three heads from wearing a nightly disposable, LOL.

If you dont want to mix and match like this, what covers are you using? Perhaps she'd feel drier and more comfortable in wool, which lets the moisture evaporate a bit?
