And I didn't even have to invest in wool. I was so close to buying a wool cover, like days away. She has reverted to the same pattern my first dd did at around a year old and continued to have (except for the occasional wet night) until she was using the potty full time.

Nitara now stays dry all night. I know it's kinda bizzare but she was showing signs of doing that here and there. The last 4 mornings she's woken up dry.

I thought with Abi that it was a sign of early potty readiness but she finally did it at 3 years 8 mos. :LOL So I'm not holding my breath with the potty thing. At least it's solved my night time wetting issue.

Yay! If you're up for it you could set up a little potty seat and see if she would sit in it for a few minutes when she first wakes up. I like something that allows them to have their feet on the ground. We started this with DS when he was 8 months when he would wake up with a dry diaper and then go through 3 in the space of half an hour. For a few months he peed in the potty every morning like clockwork. I figured if nothing else we were saving washing a few diapers.

Then when he learned to walk it got much harder to get him to sit on the potty, because it is so much more fun to run around! So now we catch a pee in the potty just once in awhile. I keep a basket of toys/books by the potty so I can entertain him for as long as possible. I have sometimes even resorted to bf him while he's on the potty! :LOL

Glad to hear of the great news!!

He's usually dry at night anymore. And after I went and begged and borrowed my way into a foolproof night system too In our case I'm sure its just random. He certainly doesn't show many signs of potty readiness.

We have a potty sitting around for her to use. She likes to use it as a stepstool. Kinda dangerous. Is not the least bit interested in sitting on it naked, although she loves to pee naked next to the bathtub while I'm running the water. :LOL She has no interest in watching me or big sister on the toilet, either. The only awareness or interest she's showing is she will let me know when her diaper is poopy, but that's about it.

I EC'd Abi for 6 mos. until she learned to walk and lost interest except for first morning pees. I jumped through hoops trying to get her to potty train and she finally did-- all on her own, when she was emotionally ready. I promised myself that with Nitara I wasn't even going to train her other than to have the potty around and talk to her and show her what we can do. She loves copying her big sister so I'm sure that when she's ready she'll just follow Abi's lead and do it on her own.

I'm not that ready to give up the cloth diapers yet. She's my last so when she's done, I will be done too.

So you're way ahead of me! I didn't know about EC until DS was 8 months and I was so mad because when he was little it was very easy to predict when he went--somehow it never occurred to me to take off his diaper and try to catch pees and poos. We're having a little girl in Septmber and I'm curious to see how it will go starting younger. I need to start reading the EC board more so I know what I'm doing.

In any case, it's great Nitara is going all night with a dry diaper! You hate to think of them laying there all wet.
