So not a total surprise, but I was told today that my boss would like to hire someone more experienced, and I should plan to transfer my work in the next 1-2 weeks. I was really hoping to stay until November and then leave permanently when baby came.

Anyone have any advice on finding temp work?

This isn't pregnancy discrimination, is it? What kind of work do you do? (and what would you need for the temp position?)

I'm an attorney. Unfortuantely we had a pregnancy discrimination case recently so I know the law fairly well, and I don't think it is. I've applied with the legal temp agencies and the social worker temp agency (I have an MSW as well.)

I'm confused. Are you being let go from a job that you were hired to do because you don't have enough experience? That's weird, isn't it.
