- My house is a mess.
- There is laundry everywhere.
- I just finished the umpteenth sinkful of dishes so at least that's done but...
- I have pumpkin puree in the fridge that needs to be used up today,
- a crockpot full of spoiled applesauce (because I was too exhausted two days ago to put it in jars and in the fridge so dh stuck the whole darn thing in the fridge and the fridge was open all night and when I got up at 4am I took it out but still didn't put it in jars and it's been sitting out for a day and a half),
- a pile of stuff that needs pics taken and put up on ebay to hopefully sell,
- car trunk full of Christmas decor that I need to take to the office and put up,
- an empty bulletin board at the office that needs designing and decorating (I did the outside one yesterday),
- floors that need swept and mopped like twice daily,
- a box or two of jars that need to be posted on freecycle along with our old toaster oven (but dh has the freecycle account),

um, what else, oh,

- a swap partner I need to go shopping for to finish off her package,
- 3 pairs of dress pants that need to hemmed (2 for dh and one for me),
- a pile of cotton sweaters and shirts that need to be dyed (I bought rit but someone told me to use dylon instead because rit bleeds),
- a rug that needs to be vacummed
- a whole shelf of shopping bags of stuff that need to be exchanged or returned
- a pile of stuff in the basement that needs to be rearranged and moved so it's not in the way but so we can save it for a yard sale in the spring (so says dh... I'd just thrift the whole pile in the mood I'm in)

All this stuff is getting on my nerves. But I can't seem to motivate myself or my husband to get started on any of it. He wants to help but we're both in a rut. I don't want to drag all the Christmas decorations out and make the house a bigger mess. It seems to me that I haven't been able to get "back on track since we were sick the first week of Nov. It's almost Dec and this whole month has been one huge disorganized slew of days and time all mushed together in a blurry frame.

Maybe posting this will motivate me... um... prolly not.:

oh, did I forget to mention the Christmas presents I want to make for the kids? Those definitely have to be started over the weekend.

I've still got the sink full of dishes, but all my non maternity clothes are now packed away I'm thinking a list of what all I need to do would be far too depressing so I'll just commiserate with the lack of motivation.

I shouldn't have read this cause now I look around and think wow I have alot that needs to be done also. Especially since we (my dd and I) are leaving to go to Florida Tuesday to visit my mama and sis.

I should go do the dishes though... I am tired of dishes, I used to use paper ( 5 yrs ago) until I realized they were wasteful now I have dishes all the time.

I need to go through a housefull of items to donate or throw away to get our house on the market by the end of January
I need to pack up an entire house to de-clutter as much as possible
I need to do the dishes, I need to paint, I need to replace carpet, I need to clean literally from top to bottom to get the house ready.
And maybe more! ack!

I am not even motivated enough to list the things I need to do...
I have been "working" for the last four hours on work that should have taken one hour to do- have read a lot of posts today, though. Ha!

I don't feel like doing anything either. I have no clue what we're having for dinner and I need to pack dh's lunch for tomorrow. Just thinking about it is totally overwhelming me, as stupid as that sounds!
I actually do want to craft, but I'm not interested in anything. I want to knit some more soakers and a pair of shorties, embroider on a onesie and work on the crib quilt but I can't stay focused on anything. Ugh!

I think focus is my problem too. The past month or so, when we're at church, I haven't been able to focus on anything. I'm sure that means I'm lacking something or other in my diet, just can't figure out what.

I have a crap load of stuff I SHOULD be doing too. I need to get address together of clients for my boss to send out holiday cards, I need to fold the laundry that I finally managed to wash, I need to clean, I need to straighten my desk before it becomes a health hazard again... and what am I doing? Messing around on here I know it will be easier to get stuff done tomorrow though because DF will be at work... and not at home distracting me!!!

I know how you all feel...I to have lots of cleaning and other things that need to be taken care of. I never seem to catch up and its been worst lately.

I have decided to just be happy that my one yr old boy is healthy, clean, and happy.
That I get the cloth diapers & covers clean for use as needed.
The cat fed and watered, plus all of us fed.

I have panic attacks and general anxiety disorder. I have worked hard to learn how to have less stress and let energy flow instead of build and get stuck inside. I only have a few attacks a month were I use to have several a day. Its is important to find what good you can in your life even if you are not feeling that you are at or doing your best.
Accepting one self and being happy about what you do get done is best. I am going to hirer a friend to help me or a cleaning service to come in a do a major cleaning. Last time I did that I was able to keep up on things for about 4 months. Maybe this would work for some of you.

Me, too. And I keep thinking that I want something really unhealthy to eat, like ice cream / milkshake / candy... but I think that it's another form of procrastination and a way to leave the office to get a snack, so I'm not giving in! I have healthy food here.

I am so in the same boat with you all.

My dh is out of town and I have so much to do. Clothes to put away, laundry to do, diapers to put on the line. My floors are such a mess - dog hair, dirt, leaves the dog keeps bringing in.....

I had a dog to groom at home tonight so nothing got done this evening.

My house is a wreck. I mean, a real wreck. I need to clean the bathroom but I can't stand the smell of cleaner. Maybe in the morning.

Maybe not...

Funny that you wrote that, b/c as soon as I saw the can of peanut butter on my shelf here at work, I knew that was all I needed!!!! Strange how our bodies will tell us if we listen! So I ate the peanut butter and... my craving for sweets (abnormal for me these days) went away.

Thank you for the advice - I'll remember it for the future now. As someone who'd rather eat carbs and veggies all day long, it's been a real focus for me to get enough protein for the twins. Some days it seems like a chore/hassle, esp b/c I don't like to eat too much meat, and I'm too gassy to often want beans But there's enough protein to be found elsewhere, thank goodness!
