I am considered "high risk" because I delivered DD at 30 weeks for no reason (went in to labor the first time at 27w6d, but they managed to hold it off for two weeks and 3 days) but have STILL not had a prenatal appointment. I got pregnant four weeks after delivering DD, which would make me think that they'd want to keep an even closer eye on me. Apparently not.

I called the office a few weeks ago to try and set up a prenatal appointment, reminded them of who I was, and of my history, and the nurse basically said, "we'll get back to you." UGH. Then my MW called and sent me for a urinalysis to get a "baseline" (even though I was already 12wks pg at that point) but I haven't heard back from her either.

I'm supposed to start receiving progesteron injections at 18 weeks, which is 5 weeks from today. I think I'm going to try and call the office again tomorrow to get some kind of prenatal appointment, because it's kind of freaking me out. I was in there every four weeks starting at 8 weeks with DD, and then was supposed to go every two weeks after wk30, but never made it that far, obviously.

For someone who is considered high risk, you'd think they'd be more aggressive about seeing me!

I would be calling & driving them crazy
Especially since you are considered high risk. Let us know when you hear back from the OB or your m/w. That is just strange to me...

Maybe you should start calling every day until you get an answer. Do you have to see this ob/mw or can you transfer care? I don't think I would feel at ease with someone who wouldn't take your situation seriously! I had the loss last time and this time my OB wanted to see me immediately just so he could help set MY mind at ease.

Well I was seen 6 weeks post partum, but none of us knew I was already 2 weeks pregnant at that point. Then I was there a month later and that's when we found out I was pg.

The midwife who I was seeing with DD is amazing, and I love her to pieces, but the practice only allows her to work two days a week, which may be why I haven't been able to get in to see her.

I'll let you all know what happens when I call there tomorrow. I wanna know everything's okay! Feeling this good and healthy kinda freaks me out...how sad is that?!

Hi, I experience simmilar stuff and I am high risk too. I just wanted to add that soooo much gets lost in the office process.

I was chatting with my midwife the other day and let her know how hard it is to get through sometimes and get what I need (which I know I need but the receptionists don't). Sometimes you just have to really push them and even go to their office.

Hope it all works out for you.
