Is anyone else just wanting to be left alone? Usually I'm a really touchy feely, yay for hugs person. Now the only people I want to touch me are DD and DH. We're having family over this weekend and I know there's going to be hugs when they leave and I'm cringing. I don't want to be rude and refuse hugs so I'll probably just suck it up and deal, but ugh. If anyone tries to touch my bump I'm worried I'll cry or smack them.

I'm feeling like this too. I saw my mum a few weeks ago and she went to touch my belly and I very sharply brushed her hand away. I didnt mean to do it, it was just instinctual. We don't have a great relationship so its not surprising really...

(hope you're still OK with virtual hugs!)

Yeah. I have been the same way. My neighbor's kid came up and grabbed by belly and I would up hurting her feelings. ( I actually apologized to her later.) But yeah. You are feeling hands off and pregnant people seem to be seen as public property. argh.

I don't mind hubbie and son, but others "hands off".

Yup. I was last time around, too. At least I'm not in the classroom this time... it was REALLY hard to be a teacher to a room full of small children (many of them quite emotionally needy) when I just wanted to be left alone. My desk job may not be as exciting, but the stapler isn't trying to lean its head on my leg while I read it a story.
