I am in Brooklyn Park and currently take my dd to PIP in Robbinsdale. Not sure if they are no-vac-friendly though and my dd's 2-month-checkup is coming!

Any advice on a ped?

It would be a hike for you, but we see Dr. Swendroski at the Health East clinic on Snelling in St. Paul. She's very low-key on the vax issue... just assumed we weren't getting most of them.

Wow... I used to see Dr. Swendrowski as a pre-teen and teenager when she practiced in Minneapolis. It's worth a shot to go back to her! She is really great.

Yes, she is. I really like her a lot. It's getting harder to schedule an appointment with her, though, because she's so popular.

Well, we go to PIP in Robbinsdale, and we have seen Dr. Jiwa, who we have never had a problem with regarding our decisions to selecticvely vax. She respects our decisions. And I just told her we aren't circumcising the new baby, and she said "Good- there's no reason to."

we also live in Bklyn Pk, but go to Park Nicollet in SLP (i work in hopkins, so it is easy to go there after work) and Dr. Mary Blomberg is also very low key on pushing the issue.

a bit OT, but did you check out the weekly thread? a lot of mommas meet up at a coffeeshop on Sat AMs to relax and let the kids play and talk, etc. there are also weekly mtgs (Mon for sure, other days i don't know about). if you are interested, PM a momma here for more details...

We actually saw Dr. Jiwa in the hospital and I originally had her checkup with her but had to change to Dr. Howe. Maybe I'll change back to her.

We adore Jiwa! She's been our ped for 5 years. She's just lovely, soft-spoken, and really takes her time with my children.
Again, we only selectively vax, though, so I'm not quite sure of her no-vax stance, but she always supports our decisions, though we're not extremely AP.
