We're in Marietta, but I drive over to Alpharetta to see Dr. Kute. I know many people in the area that do. I do think there is another group that is supposedly delayed vax friendly, but I don't know how they are about no vax, kwim? Dr. Kute is technically pro-vax but if you tell her that you don't vax, that's it - no pressure. For us, it's not even been mentioned since except hte occasional "no vax, right?"

We are going to try Dr. Long at this practice for the first time in a few days. My 5 y/o has a Kindy physical and this practice was recommended to me from several ppl on my GA homebirth group. When I called, the nurse mentioned that I also needed to get the Vax form, when I told her we don't vax, she didn't seem to think anything of it, just said, "oh, ok"

I'm also expecting a boy any day now, so we'll see how that goes as well.

http://www.kennesawpediatrics.com/

We also see Dr. Long and he's great. He asked IF we were vaxing, he didn't just assume we were, and was ok with non vaxing and selective/delaying vaxing.

My children were not vaxed at all for the first 2-3 years of their life, and now I selectively vax and still on a very delayed schedule. But I have found that the PAMPA group, a very "normal" coventional pediatric group has been wonderful. I started out with Dr. Abrams and moved to Woodstock and have found this to be wonderful. Dr. Fearing never pressures me or makes me feel bad about my choices. She is wonderful and gentle and the entire practice of doctors never gave me pressure or anything at all. They don't even mention it. They are all over the place too. They have an Alph office, Marietta, Vernon woods (?) , Towne Lake (woodstock) area. ANyhow, I couldn't be more happy, I don't have to wait and there are so many female doctors there that have been nothing short of supportive and kind. For a conventional pediatrician, I find them to be very intelligent and supportive. Anyhow, in case you would like to check them out, you can call at 770-517-6804, that's the Woodstock location. I don't know what the doctors are like in Marietta which is 770-973-4700, but what I did originally was I was straight up with my situation on the phone when I was looking for a vax free environment and I asked specifically for which doctor would be the most into natural health, etc. and they had recommended Donna Fearing.
Anyhow, I sound like a commercial. But I am so happy with them all over there, I had to gush

ps: for holistic advice, I also take them to a chiropractor and I go to a naturopath, so I ask her advice concerning the kids too. That way, I get the all viewpoints to make a better decision concerning the health of my child.

HOpe this helps, I know it can be hard sometimes finding the right fit. You will just have to find the place that is right for you. Good luck and let me know if you find something you like!

What about foreskin friendly? DS was born at home last Monday. I couldn't get an appt w/ Dr Long, so I saw his assoc. She "gently" retracted him "to see if the hole is midline" I was furious, esp when she did it AGAIN after I asked her not to "it's part of the exam"

So I have another appt w/ Dr Long, we'll see, but I'm worried! I'll never be seeing his assoc again, thats for sure!!!

Thank you for sharing this information! I just moved to the area and I am looking for a non vax friendly pediatrician. I have done the same thing as you, I go to a natropath for homiopathic/natural remedies/care and have a traditional pediatrician on call for other things. I try to stay natural all the way. I just moved here from CT so I am starting from scratch so to speak. Who are you seeing for a chiropactor and/or natropath?

Thank you for any help in advance!

O've heard good things about Dr. Kute and Dr. Abrams. I can't vouch for them personally as DS, born at home 2 1/2 years ago, has never seen a doctor other than our Chiropractor. He is still BF and non-circed.

I was just going to comment on your question. I see Heather Whittle-Davis at The Wellpath Center in Kennesaw. She's awesome for pregnancy and children. She's a doula too. And for my naturopath, I see Susan Rose at Littlefield Cottage in Dahlonega. She's great and gives a family discount. The homeopathic route has worked WONDERS for our family.

Thank you for that information! I will definitely check her out. I am on a new insurance since we moved down here so now I am not sure of how chiropractic care is covered.

I am glad to hear the homeopathic route has worked so well for you. I discovered it after my 2nd child started having multiple problems. I wish I had known more before I had the first two!

I will definitely look into the natropath as well. I was really sorry to leave my old one behind. I am glad to hear there is a payment plan too. It is not always cheap to be natural....lol!

I just moved here from Michigan but when I emailed a few midwives to see if they could recommend someone for the same reasons as you, Dr Kute was one they recommended as well. Another was Dr. Abrams. I'm not sure where his office is, but I DO have a phone number if you want it.

Many insurance companies are now covering chiropractic. I'd look into it. That would be my #1 choice!!

We go to Pediatric Associates of Woodstock and see Dr. Heaven. She was fine with our selective vaxxing (really just DTap) and our 7 year old is intact, breastfed for almost 4 years... Now I'm pregnant and we're planning a UC. I gave her a heads up and all she said was bring the baby in after a few days for a newborn exam. She will definitely recommend some medical things, but has never pushed anything and is very naturally-mined.

I have a friend who sees Dr. Ani at Pediatric Associates in Marietta and loves it there, too.
