We have been EC'ing part-time (I WOHM) since DD was about 6-7 months. She is 17 mos and I am trying not to put any pressure on us, but I'm getting pretty antsy to start making more progress. I think it just comes down to laziness and the fact that I'm not home everyday, so it's hard for me to remember to put her on the potty throughout the day<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/duck.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Duck">:. We've been really good about the first pee in the morning and after her nap. And slowly I've added in the second pee in the morning, and before bath/bedtime.<br><br>
It was after the 2nd pee in the morning that I would start to forget and then get discouraged. Well, we made it through 3 pees today, so I figured why not keep going?! We also made it through several excursions out of the house with a dry diaper, and now she's down for the night (unfortunately no nap today<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/irked.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="irked"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">! We did have a couple of pees on the floor and one in training pants <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/redface.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Embarrassment">, but still... I think this is cause for a celebration!<br><br>
I hope we can have similar success tomorrow. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngtongue.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Stick Out Tongue">

Always feels good to not put any diapers in the diaper pail. And training pants and normal pants and the floor don't count...they don't feel the same as diaper laundry!<br><br>
How exciting that you decided to full-time it with the EC today, and that it went well! Congrats!

Another day has come and gone and still on the same diaper! (It's starting to look kind of rough <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/redface.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Embarrassment">)<br><br>
Today was a little more dramatic as there was a lot of pooping involved. DD is not a good pooper (I'm trying to straighten out her diet), so it is always an ordeal. Most of it ended up on the back deck... still better than diapers, right? <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> Ha ha ha!<br><br>
(I have a confession to make: We use sposies <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/duck.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Duck">: <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/bag.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Bag">: so that's even more of a reason not to put any in the diaper pail!!)

Lol, saving money may actually be better than saving laundry! And I know what you mean about the sposie getting beaten up...we used them on vacation and we had to throw some away after awhile because the tabs just wouldn't stick anymore and the diaper would get too stretched out!

I've been using sposies part time too until recently.<br>
Ever since dd went full time on CD, she's been doing 10 times better!<br><br>
Congrats and good luck!

2 more days with no wet diapers! Today was completely dry - no misses in training pants or on the floor, even! We went out several times and I was tempted to take her in the cloth trainers. I can't believe we're finally getting somewhere. It's like something just clicked and I've got this little clock in my head where I can actually remember when to put her on the potty. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/biggrinbounce.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="bgbounce"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/banana.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="banana"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/broc1.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Broccoli">:<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/carrot.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="carrot">

i can remember when we first had this happen - having to change the diaper not because its wet but just because it's been on too long!<br><br>
we often did better out of the house than at home, too
