I am wondering if anyone can let me know of another juice they and there children are happy with that is like juicy juice in quality and price? This is probably gonna be our hardest hurdle in the boycott, is the only juice I will use for years now,

in canada we have a store brands PC Organics and they have some juices that are great.

i've seen PC products in some stores across the U.S...
What about Hansen's juice? That's what I buy. http://www.hansens.com/products/prod_junior_juice.php
I'm not sure if they have it where you live, but around here, A&P's brand (America's Choice) makes a Juicy Juice knock-off. It's cheaper too, I've been buying it for about a year now. They have the same blends and stuff too

I like Apple & Eve. They have an organic line and my DH did software work for them when they were tiny, years ago. I like to keep supporting them. It's not too much higher priced than the other organics and I mix it 1/2 and 1/2 with water anyway, regardless.

I love Apple and Eve's apple juice..it is very good.
they sell it at Costco so you should be able to find it for a decent price.

I also like Ceres juice but it is kind of pricey...I can't drink most juices because of IC and I get their pear juice..

Kerns is alo owned by Nestle..just a heads up.

How could I tell? It says it's distributed by "The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company"?

We have a great selection of 100% juice here. most of it all comes from the same places. (minus the organic of course)

might I suggest elimating juice all together. It really has no benifit. Most of the nutrients and fiber are stipped out in the juicing and what is left is stripped out during paturization. Its bad for thier teeth, fills them up on empty calories and I think is partially responsible for our nations sugar obsesion.

anyway, giving up Juicy Juice brand might just be the motivation you need to kick the juice habit altogether.

And substitute it with what??? My two year old won't drink enough through the day unless he's had juice (And I'm talking majorly watered down juice - like a tablespoon of juice to a pint of water). When he's thirsty he askes to nurse or for juice, but rarely water.

I try to juice apples in our Champion juicer but when I don't I be sure to by the unprocessed apple juice in the HFS.
Just wondering what you'd use in place of juice...

we use water. there was a revolt at first but since it was thier only option they eventually warmed up to it. It was easiest for the baby who never had juice.

and I don't wait for them to ask for a drink. I offer them a drink everytime they walk past me.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I buy juice about 1ce a week, mainly because my kids do like it sometimes, it is gone by end of day. I agree about the sugar thing in juice, but is nice to have sometimes. I guess since we do buy it so infrequently, the higher price for the better juice wouldnt hurt too much...
late in on this but my kids like iced herbal tea - I stopped making a lot of juice in the summer because it got so expensive to be giving juice to all the neighbor kids traipsing through my house
and I found out that it is cheap to make sun-tea and there are so many different kinds, you're sure to find some they like!
