So for the last week I've been having a little flicker of movement here and there. Just enough to where I'm like "Was that the baby?" Well, as of last night I've been having non-stop movement. I mean it's gotta be the baby. I've never felt this way before. I drove my husband crazy this morning because I kept grabbing his hand and telling him to feel the baby and he kept telling me he couldn't feel anything yet. It was amazing last night and this morning, but yanno, it's like 6:30pm and I'm about sick of it. This is my one day off all week and I wanted to relax and I can't get comfortable. I keep thinking it's twins, but all three ultrasounds I've had so far say it's only one baby. The baby will stop moving for a couple of minutes then start up again. I'm annoyed. I just want it to stop so I can nap, but really, it's too late to nap now because if I do I'll never get back to sleep tonight. So really I'm just rambling.

When can other people feel the baby move? I'm 17 weeks 4 days.

I wish, I wish I was there with you. . .I have been having weird anxieties lately (I think its because my next MW appt is coming up and that always stresses me a bit) and I just wish I could feel consistent movement to ease my mind. I feel little tickles and pokes here and there, but just little and light enough for me to always wonder "was that the baby?"

I am 17 weeks and 1 day. . .hope it gets more consistent and strong soon so I can complain like you that I can't get any rest!

I had a dream last night that I went for my 20 week u/s and my whole family was with me (they don't live in the same state in reality) and the tech couldn't find the baby at all, but instead found some other growth that was making me seem pregnant. Anyway. . .kinda silly now, but it was horrible. You'd think I'd be over this phase of thinking there won't really be a baby in there. . .but it still haunts me. Sigh. I can't wait to hear the heartbeat on Tuesday!

Oh I've been having nightmares. I think mine have been bad since the first pregnancy nearly killed me. (I had an ectopic that ruptured and I had internal bleeding went into shock had to have emergency surgery. Wasn't a very good experience needless to say.) I've had ones where I miscarry where the baby is born looking like a frog all sorts of crazy dreams. So I feel ya there.

This baby (just like my other 2) only seems to give me a few minutes of 'excercise' and then she settles back into sleep
In fact, tonight was the first time I thought - THANK YOU CHARLOTTE, she must've had the hiccups or something, bc it was so definitely her. It made me SO happy!

i've been feeling movement since 14 weeks (this is my second). however, i also have an anterior placenta, so the movement is so very subtle. i have to really focus to feel it. is this a blessing?

with my first, i got the flutters around 16 weeks, and she was always a very active child in utero. after she was born, it was soon revealed that she is a "spirited" child -- super busy, wiry, agile. she turned over from her back to her tummy on the nurse's table at her two week appointment. she crawled by 5 months and walked by 10 months. she's been riding a bike with training wheels since a little past two and a half years old.

when i was pregnant, they always told me, an active baby is a healthy baby.
so, non stop movement is a good thing. relax. you'll soon learn to sleep right through it.

Kismetbaby, I have my appt on Tues., and I have been very anxious too. I do feel the baby after I eat, though. I am 17 weeks today. I have to stay very still and sometimes it is stronger than others. I swear he or she kept bumping my cervix today. I have been uncomfortable "down there" off and on all day. Trying not to worry. I wish the doc would have them measure my cervix because that is the one nagging worry that I have.

Well....It was nice in the morning, but after all day I started getting annoyed. It was so odd to have this thing moving in my stomach. Crazy alien child. This morning I haven't had any movement yet. So I'm thinking maybe yesterday was just a very active day.

I guess too much movement is better than not enough. This is my first pregnancy that's gotten to the "I can feel it move" stage, so it's very odd for me to not only know there's something growing inside of me, but that now it's moving around in there and I can feel it. lol

lol All my children will be "spirited" children. They don't have much of a choice in the matter. For whatever reason I tend to bring that out in kids. I have a cousin (an unrelated cousin, she's my dad's best friend's kid so we aren't blood) and the whole nature vs nurture thing...Yeah I solved that. It's a lot of nurture. She's 8 now and she spends so much time with me. She acts more like me then her parents. People think she's mine. "You're daughter is just like you." I smile and say "I know" because it takes too long to explain. Her mom gets mad at me because I encourager her to ask why and not accept it when adults say "because I said so". And to not follow others. She's very "spirited" and her parents will tell you it's all my fault. :)

I hope so. Last night the movement woke me up at 1am. At least I think it was the movement. When I woke up nothing else was going on except the baby was bouncing around in there.

No all-day movement for me yet. I wish I felt a little more than I do! Baby gets very active at night, especially after DH and I DTD
and I do feel little kicks and flutters throughout the day, but they're sporadic. I do like that he or she is so active at night though, it's great to lie down and drift off to sleep feeling those little kicks and punches.

(Somebody remind me that I said that in a few months when I'm complaining that I can't get to sleep because baby thinks bedtime is playtime!)
