Okay, maybe I haven't given it enough of a chance so hopefully all knowing Mamas can give me some encouragement!

It just isn't comfy! There is just so much fabric wrapped all over. It felt weird, KWIM? Too much somehow. My daughter is only 8 pounds and 2 weeks old, so perhaps when she is bigger I will appreciate it more?? Anyone think this might be the case? I know I have it on right and I have watched and watched the video to be sure.
I am so bummed about this! Should I just sell it and move on?

On a side note, the Zolo cotton is AWESOME! I am a former Maya user, but that sling really bugged me. I am not sure what exactly is different about the Zolo, but I seem to get it perfect each time right off the bat whereas I never seem to get the Maya comfy. I love this sling! I am definitely ordering at least one more!

Thanks for any advice!

s first. I would stick with the zolo for now (I'm jealous they are gorgeous!
). You may like the hug a bub in a few months when she is bigger and there is less fabric to deal with. I would keep it at least one or two more months and if by then you still hate it, sell or trade it. She should be big enough for you to at least have a good idea of if you will ever like it by that point. Good luck!!

I wouldn't give up on it. I have heard many, many times from people who have no luck with a sling and put it away, only to try it later when baby is bigger and it works wonderfully for them
.

Perhaps you just like the ease of the Zolo (another amazing sling) since your little one is still so little and floppy, and when she gets a bit "sturdier" you may find the HaB easier to use.

I tried the back carry in a wrap when my dd was younger and just couldn't get it. When she got older I picked it up and put her on my back no problem first try!!

Also, some people just don't like wraps period! The HaB is very lightweight and narrow for a wrap so there is much less fabric to deal with then you find with other wraps. So I would hang on to it for sure and then if you do find it works for you later, you may have a whole new world of slinging to explore using wraps. If not, you can always sell it.

FWIW, I am dying to try my HaB with a newborn. It just seems like it will be so secure and cozy!!!

We love our HaB, but didn't get it till ds was 4 months old - it was perfect then, and it's still pretty good now that he's 9.5 months old - actually, at 25 pounds, he's a little big for my comfort, but it definitely works.

Hang on to it a little while longer... I couldn't use the Maya with ds when we got it (he was 2 weeks old), but now, it's great!

good luck,
Heidi
