I'm 40 weeks and 2 days now, went in for a nst yesterday which turned out fine for the most part, just my bp was slightly elevated.<br><br>
Last night I went to bed with a slight headache and woke up with a massive one. I ate breakfast and it is almost gone now, just a little bit.<br><br>
I took my bp and it's kind of high, 137/93, whereas I'm usually around 118/76.<br><br>
Should I call? I live so darn far away and all these trips are tiring, so I thought I'd ask you fine ladies what you would do first!

I'd probably call and see what she has to say. Preeclampsia can come on fast, and is not something to mess around with. I had it with my first, and they did send me home on bedrest for a couple of days, but then I went into labor on my own. For ME, I would rather be safe than sorry when dealing with that. I hope it was just a temporary thing, and that you have a smooth labor/delivery and healthy mom and baby!

Just wondering... why are you taking your blood pressure. Is there some of sort of prior history that has you doing that? Since it's a little elevated, I see that it's glad that you do, just curious...

yes I would call. Better to be safe than sorry. I dont mean to scare you but I have seen so many times where things can go wrong very fast and a phone call can perhaps save your babys life if it came down to it.

Thanks everyone! I just got home about an hour ago. I called after the first reply and haven't been able to update until now.<br><br>
I went in and was admitted for observation/nst's. My blood pressure eventually went down. I did start feeling nauseated for a while too.<br><br>
My dh has hypertension so we have a bp machine here.<br><br>
