We're traveling tomorrow, I have a Phil&Ted's E3 double. Just realized that it looks pretty huge even when folded. Is this a problem getting through airport security?
I would love to not bring it, but with an infant car seat, my baby, my three year old and big airports, there's just no getting around it.
Thanks,
Erin

You know, thinking about it, I don't think my double stroller was put through the x-ray machine at the airport when last we flew. They did a visual check. Kinda funny, since in LAX they patted down my 12-month-old DD's diaper.

Sometimes our single stroller doesn't fit at smaller airports and they just take it over to the side and inspect it and it is always ready by the time we are through security with all our stuff. Only the last time we travelled, when we got home the batteries were missing from the garage door opener I keep in the top compartment of the stroller. ??

Okay, thanks mommas! I'm not gonna stress about it, then. That's weird about the batteries -- I won't leave anything in there! I'll let you know if we end up having any trouble...

I got my double Mountain Buggy hand checked. I was traveling alone with 16 month old twins and it had to go. One thing I did that perhaps made it a bit easier and I'm not familiar enough with the P&T to know if it's possible, but I took off all the extra bits and packed them with my checked luggage - the hood and baskets so all that was left was the frame and the seats. It also reduced the amount of fabric available to be torn as it entered the hands of the luggage folks at the end of the jetway. Good luck!
