Getting close to the third trimester mamas!!! Some of us have already reached that milestone, I guess.

I've started nesting a little. I've been sewing diapers a lot and poring over fabrics to make a new sling. My new baby stash is growing!!

This is sad, but what week starts the third trimester? I forget. I am due March 11... Surprise as to the sex. Looking forward to another wonderful homebirth. Thanks

Well if you think pregnancy is a good 40 weeks then third trimester would start 26 weeks and if you think pregnancy is 42 weeks then 28 weeks.I am 27 weeks today and consider myself third trimester.Close enough

Doing well here.Been cleaning and organizing around here.We still have boxes of stuff sitting in the garage from our move over a year ago.My patience seems short though.Watching two 2 year olds is really tough!

I had a mw appointment this morning. This little one is NOT easy for them to hear with the fetoscope. It's not really the babe, actually, it's the fact that my placenta is implanted RIGHT smack dab in the front.

Other than the amazing hard-to-heard baby , everything is fine. Measuring right on, et cetera. I did get the form for ordering the birth kit! I don't have to yet, of course, but. Still.

I was telling a friend last night that I'm going to end up in the third trimester without ever having gotten a second trimester burst of energy. I have no baby stuff collected, either, aside from what I had with dd. We don't need that much stuff, but we do need diapers, wraps, a car seat, and a co-sleeper. Oh, and a new changing table pad, and diaper bag. I'd love to get a new sling too, but we'll see.

I'm also hoping for a new digital camera (maybe for Christmas?) before then. Overall, however, I feel distinctly guilty that I am not more interested in nesting or in getting ready for birth. :p I'm just all "Oh, yeah, birth. Done that" *shakes head at self*

Kash, we had the same problem when our midwives came over yesterday. The baby seems to be posterior. I thought she was transverse, which I suppose is still possible. Either way, she's stretching me out!

I'm going to have to get on the ball and start sewing, too. I have lots and lots (3 big bags) of old cotton clothes that I've saved to make diapers out of. I also need to finish knitting the baby's sweater, make "baby" blankets for my toddler and the baby, sew a baby doll for my toddler, and finish the toddler's baby book before I need to start another one! Yeesh! Anyone want to come help me?

Bwa ha ha! We moved FIVE years ago and I still have boxes I haven't unpacked. Think I should just chuck em???

Yesterday I was crippled by the pain in my hip, today it's fine. Drives me nuts! I look like I'm faking and just forgot to keep the act up.

Work is crazy - I have a project due next week and feel like I'm in school again and after skipping 6 weeks of class i'm trying to catch up. Crazy! I can't wait until my mat leave.

Baby fine and booting me regularly. I'm eating total crap since I'm tired and stressed and so I feel guilty. Baby's probably booting me asking for more veggies. I prefer to think it's saying thanks for the chocolate. :LOL

Whine whine whine.

I look like I have a basketball under my shirt. Its even possible to see baby movement through my clothes! DH and I spent an evening staring at my stomach, just watching it move. Fascinating.

I had a second U/S because they couldn't see the back in the first one. Everything is fine, Owen decided to pose with his toes pressed up against his eyebrows. We've been joking that every time I feel movement, he's probably kicking himself in the head.

We're going to a baptism class tonight and I have been searchign everywhere for a breastfeeding class. Why are they so hard to find?

DH has been called back for a second interview in Boston and to one in mid-Michigan. The thought of moving to Boston right now makes me ill. We know no one in Boston and, if he got the job, he would have to start soon and leave me in Detroit until the baby can travel. I'd probably live with my mom (so I wouldn't be alone) but the thought still bums me out.

If you ahve to move to Boston, never fear, seems like there are Mothering moms everywhere. We live like 30 minutes south of Boston. But for your sanity, I hope you don't have to do any big moving around that time.

Hey there beautiful mamas!

I guess I entered the third trimester, 26 weeks today. I think I feel like it too. Just started to feel pretty big and cumbersome this week. I got me a new pair of slip on boots--yeah, no more lace tying!

I'm getting excited for upcoming birth prep. This weekend my yoga teacher is having a partners "movements for labor" workshop, and next my midwife is having a birth stories potluck with new and soon to be parents.

We've decided to take our belated honeymoon over Christmas--in Mexico! Direct flight and a nice place to stay, so I'm not too worried. Should be easy and I'm excited to swim in the ocean at 30 weeks.

Oh my gosh, I have a ton of sewing to do, too. I really wanted to try some EC pants back when I had my first trimester burst of energy, but now on the other side of morning sickness (and having invested a bunch of money in supplies) I'm thinking, wouldn't flat diapers have worked just fine? What was I thinking when I decided to sew a bunch of stuff?!

Cholderby, you are wonderfully on the ball already taking a baptism class. This whole time I've been a little anxious about March. It's going to be close to Easter, so the baptism will probably be right after Easter. (Guilty thought: Ooh, maybe a lot of the family won't come. :)) I have parallel visions in my mind. One is the most wonderful ecstatic experience, the other is just incredibly stressful. We'll see.

cholderby, there must be a La Leche League group in your area? They're the best.
Hope you don't have to go through such a stressful transition at this time, but I agree Boston may also have a lot to offer down the line.

I'm here, bummed that i don't see a m/w now till after xmas..seems ery wierd..but will phone my doula friend and talk to her. Busy making all my Ds's xmas and b.day presents. He will be 3 this time next week, which takes me back to how I was feeling way back then...aaaaahhh...

I'm so jealous! We went to Mexico on our honeymoon and I LOVED it! I am not a fun-in-the-sun kind of person (I'm a redhead and I was genetically engineered to live in a sunless bog) but I still spent every moment on the beach with a limonada in hand.

There are several LLL chapters around here. It seems like they have lots of specific topic meetings, but no general class. Maybe I should call them.

DH leaves for Boston tonight. We shall see...

Hi! I added you to our list. Terribly happy to add another surprise sex baby!!!

Edited to add:
OK, this is really wierd, but I can't edit my OP.
So, I'll post updates to the list later in the week to avoid having that list on the thread several times. Maybe I'll be able to figure it out by then.

Ravenmoon, wishing you luck. It seems like cramps and pressure have hit me too! This baby is a crazy fool...

My Update!
I have also been cleaning, I think it is because I am in a good mood, We had a wonderful day in my business yesterday- things look promising so I am pretty happy. I came home cleaned the living room, our bedroom and Raineys room- well her play room she sleeps with us still. We are having a snow storm- well really just snow, snow, snow. Everything is white and pretty. I fell the other day in the front yard on some ice and that really sucked, I didnt get hurt real bad but still it is scary when I live in northern Michigan and our winters are just starting and will not be done until well after the baby is born. I fell several times when I was preggo with Rainey - and one time I feel down the stairs going to my baby shower and I think I broke my upper arm, but having at least 30 breaks in my life and NOT wanting an x-ray I just put it in a sling for a few weeks, but it still hurt real bad, so I am praying that I stay safe and upright this time!

Heartburn is hitting me, I think it is from salt, but most everything gives me HB, but I think that the salt makes to worse. It sucks! Any ideas ladies??

Okay, I have to run

Hugs and big belly rubs to everyone!

I haven't checked out this forum for a while - wow, tons of March mamas.

Please add me to the list:

Unknown (wildcrafter)/surprise 03/18

Hey, have you guys heard of Ice Cleats? They relatively cheap and slip right onto regular shoes/boots allowing you to walk on ice/snow/slush! Totally saved me my last pregancy and hopefully will help cure cabin fever this winter as I await the blessed event with my 30 mo old. If I can't get out and walk/play during the winter I turn into a nutcase. Hey we've already been sledding once! And don't you love the portable heater you turn into during pregancy?

Prenatal yoga has really helped me balance on slippery surfaces as well.

Hey Ravenmoon, hope you're ok. I had spotting and cramping and it went away when my midwife recommended:

wild yam creme daily on belly
less nursing (which I have cut down on)
more water

Since I did those things, no cramping or spotting. Good luck!!!!!

Ravenmoon, I will be thinking of you. Everytime I have lower abdominal cramping I panic, but then I go to the bathroom & am fine... Hopefully something similarly benign???...

I just figured out yesterday that I am uncomfortable for a reason & shouldn't be surprised. I am pregnant. Waddling like I am due next week. I am chasing a 34 month old pumpkin around the house... Somehow I still pictured myself halfway through... Really losing my mind. (Well, my mother-in-law was here & that will do it every time.)

I would send belly pics but I am no so sure I would fit in the frame. :0 Not because of the huge belly... We had a family picture taken for my midwife Monday. Just looked at them today. I am very depressed. I feel good, but I am so overweight!!!! Oh well, have to do something about that next year-ish.

I will be thinking of you, Ravenmoon. Please let us know how things work out.
