Hi everyone...

I am hopefully on the down side of a bad cold. I still cough so much that it makes my head and ribs hurt sometimes. I really hope I don't get bronchitis from this.

other than the cold, I feel good. I haven't gained any weight in like 3 weeks. I wonder if that's a problem. But the baby is moving well and I certainly feel bigger.

My to-do list is now:
- Pack for hospital
- Call hospital for tour and pre-registration
- Eat. A lot.

That's it!

I just got back from seeing my midwife about an hour ago. Everything is going well. Baby is head down, but up really, really high still. It's making it difficult to eat! I've had some nausea and low back pressure, but other than that have been feeling ok. Ready for baby except diapers. I am having doula issues and feeling too emotional to deal with that, so either I'm sending an email or dh is gonna have to call for me. Emotionally, not so great this week. B/w my doula and our parents-oy- I am not a happy camper and am finding that I am bursting into tears quite easily. :
Isn't there a rule somewhere that people at least have to pretend to be nice to pregnant women?!

Me too, re: the cold, though mine is all sinus stuff and no coughing. I just wake up and blow my nose 8000 times a night! : I hope you feel better ASAP!

I just ordered my birth kit, so that is a step, one of my many "to-do's" still left to do! I had a great pep talk from a new local Hypnobabies instructor... I was feeling a little discouraged and she really helped me out I am getting ready for our baby shower this Saturday and hoping that the crew, who are here doing drywall work RIGHT NOW, will be out of here by... oh... FRIDAY... so that I can yanno, get ready for it! : I have already let go of the idea of things being done by then, but I'd like it to at least not be DRYWALL DUST EVERYWHERE!

Re: our remodel... we need new front doors desperately, we have two. The one leading to our office (used to be a carport, this is an old sixties rambler we're working on) had glass panels. One of which I broke with my car key... like FIVE YEARS AGO! I have had that stupid glass taped up ever since then. It just looks awful. But we haven't even ordered the doors yet and even if we do, it takes six-eight weeks to get them. So I was all upset, because the first impression of the house is still so "run down", even though we have done so much work and it looks really amazing inside. So my husband says... "I know. We'll paint the doors pink!" That is why I love that man. So I painted one of the doors pink last night! We are going to be stepping through rose colored doors for our baby shower Saturday

I am babbling!

Anyways physically I am ok, 'cept getting these cervix pains more frequently. Methinks, baby head pressure hitting me wierd is what it is, but it is really OWIE. Also, bottomless-pit type hunger is starting to get on my nerves! For the first time in my life I'm tired of eating! My next MW visit will be our home visit in preparation for the birth. Very very exciting

I love these update threads!

Tonight is my home visit from my midwife. DH has to miss a fancy dinner for work to be here, which I kind of feel bad about because it's to celebrate the completion of a project he worked really hard to help accomplish. But, he needs to be here for the visit so I'm cooking him his favorite dinner after the midwife leaves. I can't believe that I'm far enough along to be having my home visit. Everything is pretty much ready for the birth, though. Now I just need a baby!

I have been in major nesting mode this morning. I've been cleaning a little obsessively and trying to make everything just-so, in case I go into labor early. I can have my homebirth anytime after Friday (when I will be 37 weeks), so I want everything to be all ready in case he decides to come early. I have a feeling he will be a little early, but I'm hoping he doesn't actually come in the next week or so.

I have been feeling good, although my pelvis and back still hurt pretty consistently despite visits to the chiropractor. I have had to slow down my activity level a bit, but nothing too drastic. I lost my mucous plug last week, so I guess labor really is right around the corner. We're in the home stretch!

Let's see; ordered the homebirth kit last week...anticipating receiving that soon and getting all weepy over how close we are.

Am currently washing clothes, blankets and dipes for baby in preparation.

Physically I am doing well, but slowing down and feeling more 'creaky' in the hip joints. Getting up out of bed at night is an adventure, since I have to test the joints and make sure they don't feel like getting to saggy on me. Had a flare up of sciatic pain last week, but it seems to be waning with some good homeopathic remedies.

I have most of my birth supplies collected, just need to get a few more and make sure the linens are ready.

After that I'm focused on making a couple of baby slings and more contour dipes.

With my lessening energy level I've given myself the task of having everything ready within the next 2 weeks, so that I can relax and not have anything worrying me from a 'to do' list. Well, relax as much as you can when you are the homeschooling/SAHmama to 2 little boys...

I had a midwife appointment on Friday and found out that the baby is head down. Yay!!! The babes back is on my right side, probably because of holding ds on my left hip a lot. I am really trying to encourage ds to hold my hand instead, because carrying him is really hard on my back. I am also getting these really weird pains in my cervix. Sometimes it hurts so bad it stops me in my tracks.
I have almost all of my supplies for my birth kit. I just need to place the order for the rest of the stuff I can't get on the island this week. I have been getting all my diapers ready. I finally got the smell out from being stored for so long. All the babes clothes are washed and stored. I don't need anything for the first 3 months.
I am extremely tired!! Luckily dh has been letting me sleep in the past week. I am in bed by 9 or 9:30 and then sleeping in until about 8. I still feel like I should be getting a nap during the day, but it's been hard because we've been so busy.
I am getting the house all set up. Trying to clean and dh has been really good about helping out with the chores. He actually said to me this weekend - what can I do for you to help you out. How sweet!!
Overall I am feeling really good. Getting really anxious about meeting the little one.
Hope everyone else is feeling good!!!

Doing ok here. I have a ton of stuff to get done, but I need a break from work to do that. I am having a lot of pain directly between my legs, it feels like bones so I am not sure what that is about. I am going to a different chiro who does Webster technique on Wed and I hope that helps, I don't know anything about it except Webster has a focus on pregnant women. We will see.

I am 34 weeks now and have a MW appt. on Wed. I will be getting/gathering our HB supplies in the next couple of weeks. Dh and I just got back from a weekend away from the dc and overall it was good. It was a car trip to a city about 3.5 hours away and I am glad to be home again now, but it was nice to get out and see a concert (I had to sit through most of it) go shopping at IKEA, and get some of the boys Christmas presents. Too bad I didn't feel up for any romance. I just couldn't do it! I am starting to feel really uncomfortable and contract a lot, I feel that the end is near... I hope! I usually go to 40+ weeks... that seems like A LONG TIME FROM NOW!! I think baby feels very low, like my last 2 children and is head down but flips from OP to OA still all the time. Everything else is good.

I am now 33 weeks... getting tired. It is really hard to crawl around on the floor picking up toys and stuff! I'm glad that my folks are going to be in town for a bit in a week or so, I'm going to put my dad to work hanging a shelf, installing baby safe stuff on 2 cupboards, and taking my busy guys to the park so I can SLEEP!

I need to get a 'going home' outfit and wash some clothes, but I'm going to wait for December before I do this.... oh, yeah, and we're going to get the car seat this weekend... I have all of my christmas shopping done (well, the essentials for the boys and they're the ones who count!) and this is a huge relief....

I totally am with all the mamas who are having wild mood swings, last night I totally freaked out while my kids were painting... I felt like such a freak afterwards, but at least I have an explination for my behavior, right? I am growing a new life, afterall.

well let's see, I'm 34w. I also have that horrible cold, mine morphed into a sinus infection/bronchial infection, bad enough that I went to dr. and got abx.
While I was there I got my "proof of pregnancy" required for the birth certificate, since my UP records won't be enough to be allowed a certificate.

Baby is dropped, I checked myself and while my cvx is tightly shut, I could feel the head behind it.
I found the placenta this afternoon, it's high and on my left this time.

I'm still measuring large, 41cm today.

I think that's it.

Add me to the crying a lot list. Work sucks, I'm yelling at the kids and have no patience for my husband, and I burst into tears over everything.

Went with my 7 year old on a field trip today and felt so tired and uncomfortable by noon that people were asking me if I was OK. Now I ache all over.

Saw the MW for my 32 week appt today, all was well. When I get done with my daughters' joint birthday party this weekend, I'll get to work putting together my birth supplies.

35 wks!! Overall, feeling great. We just found out that the placenta/cord has moved and I can have a vaginal birth so I am on top of the world. Measuring a week ahead, too. Baby is head down and doing great!!

Still have horrible heartburn and trouble sleeping some nights. Moodier, too.

I am starting to feel overwhelmed with what we have left to do: birth plan, finish collecting diaper stash, washing clothes/dipes, holiday cards.

Doing alright. I'm 36 weeks today....I can hardly believe it as I type it. Where in the world did this pg go!?

I have so much going on right now, it's no wonder things have progressed to 36 weeks & I haven't so much as blinked. I need to clean out my closet & start pulling out baby clothes & washing them.

We've pretty much decided on names, so that's a good thing.

At my appt. last week I was measuring 38 cm so I'm curious to see how much that's changed when I go to my next appt. on Thurs.

I'm hungry practically all the time, it seems! I've gained 7 lbs. total this pg but my favorite sushi rest. is opening a store down here where I live (before we had to travel 8 hours to get my favorites!) in the next couple days, so I think there'll probably be at least a few more pounds added on in the coming days.

Other than being busy, things are better around here. At least I'm not crying all the time anymore. Ya gotta love those pg hormones!

I just got back from my appt a little while ago. I will be 36 weeks in 2 days. So this served as my 36 wk appt. I get to start going every week now! That is exciting for me. I have the next four appts scheduled. I did the GBS swab today. I am still gaining wieght, up 40 pounds now! The baby's hb is in the 130's. S/he is head down and deep in my pelvis! I can definately tell! I am measuring 33 1/2 cm which she said is fine b/c the baby is so low. The only thing that concerned me was my blood pressure was up higher than usual. It was 120/66 they said it was fine and not to worry about it but I don't typically have a bp that high. It is usually around 104/60something. Oh well I won't stress about it if they are worried about it. I had just come from a meeting with my boss about my trainee so that is probably why it was up.

My dad and I went car shopping yesterday and found a good deal on a van for me. We are going to try and get that taken care of this week. Dh is retarded and won't help me out but complains about anything I get so I just don't even care to talk to him about it anymore. My dad knows how to tell if a car is crap or not and I trust him to let me know if I should get it or not. He thinks I should so we plan on working out details on Thursday. I'm excited. I was getting concerned b/c I have a Corolla and just can't fit 3 carseats in a that! It looks like I will be saving money all the way around also so that is good.
That's about it for me. Feeling good if not for the pain in my pelvis when baby decides to move around.

I have never heard of a proof of pregnancy before... so if you just show up with a baby, they won't give you a birth certificate? Like... the baby wasn't really born???
