Hi all! We must be a busy bunch. I searched through lots of threads to make sure I wasn't missing anything, so hopefully I didn't duplicate a thread.

Well, I hate to start it off on this note, but the main reason I went looking for our thread is to share the news in my signature. Everything happened naturally, for which I am greatful, but I am still a little sad. We knew it was coming because of bleeding and an ultrasound, but it's still different when it actually happens. We are at peace, but sad. Haven't decided yet if we're going to try again right away or not. I've been WAY in the mood lately--maybe I'm ovulating already??? We'll see.

How is everyone else? What's going on? Need updates!

Wow, I've been so caught up in my ddc and with Nathan's deployment that I totally lost track of this thread. Thanks for reviving it Chelsea.

I'm so sorry to hear your news. Take care of yourself and give yourself some time to heal.

My news...Nathan deployed a little over 2 weeks ago. We're doing okay. The first night after he left was really hard, but I kicked into gear when I woke up the next morning and I've been fine since. My morning sickness has finally gone away, the last time I threw up was over a week ago. Yay! I still haven't gained a single pound at 15 weeks, but I swear I'm eating all the time. The problem (depending on how you look at it!) is that this baby won't let me eat hardly anything unhealthy. I've had terrible acid reflux (I'm on zantac twice daily) and I can't tolerate anything fried, even potato chips; no soda at all, even an ounce and no diary = no ice cream, cheese, etc. So, I mainly drink water and mostly eat fruit for sweet cravings. I guess that's why I haven't gained any weight, though I'm not complaining.

Not a lot else to update here. I'll try to get some pictures up in the next few days.

Thanks Chelsea for starting the thread. I think about it every day, then go to the May 07 ddc and spend an hour there! I'm so sorry to hear your news. Life can be such a roller coaster sometimes.

Alisha, I can't imagine being pg w/2 little ones and no partner around! As it is we depend a lot on MIL. Glad you are feeling up to it.

Rowan has been sleeping in her own bed for 3 nights now! Okay, she only sleeps about half the night, then wakes and comes into the big bed, but it's a big change for us and the nice part is she insists on going to sleep in her new bed every nap and night, so we don't have to fight or cajole her into it. Now, when there's a new babe in bed with us, who knows what will happen . . . .

Hope all is well with everyone else.

Rachel, you're still pregnant! May is almost over. I know you don't believe in due dates, but did you go over with Rowan?

That's awesome that she is starting the night in her own bed! That's where you have to start. Bronwynn sleeps most nights in her own bed now, started doing that a month or two ago on her own and we encouraged it. I love having the bed to myself most of the time. Bronwynn fell asleep in my bed last night and I just let her sleep there the whole night, it does get lonely not having anyone in bed with you now and then, but the kids are more than willing to help me out if I get too lonely!

That's so great you guys are getting some sleep w/o the little ones. I can't imagine, at this point. Liv was in her own bed sleeping all night for over a year, and lately I can't remember the last time she slept all night long. She wakes up so often, and needs us to help her go back to sleep. She ends up in our bed around 5-6am, and sleeps there (which is fine with me, because I get to sleep!). Norah is still in bed with us, nursing all night long, but I have no desire to encourage her out yet.

It's funny how your children can be so different. I remember with Liv I had to get her out of bed because she was waking every 45 minutes and I was pregnant and couldn't handle it. I don't feel that way at all now.

Oh, and we are going through tantrum land right now. Fun.

Alisha, I am so amazed by what you do. I have two SILs that have military DHs and have had to deal with deployments before, but I just can't imagine having to do everything myself. Is there anything we can do? Care packages for you with chocolate? Or will that upset your reflux? You are amazing, mama!

Rachel, I can't wait for your baby! Please link us to your birth story if you write one. I'm a sucker for birth stories and new babies.

Speaking of that, jecaly--how is everything going with Oona and Hazel?

Oh, I can't wait to hear from the other Nov.07 Mamas!!!

Yeah, that would probably upset the reflux. It's terrible. I'm forced to eat healthy this pregnancy. I still haven't gained a lb. as a result.

We had 2 due dates for Rowan, and she came about 10 days past the later one. So I'm trying not to get anxious about this one. MW palpated lots of fluid and she thinks the babe is about 7 lbs, which is well smaller than Rowan was (8-9) Had a NST and it was fine, have another one scheduled for Tues, but it would be nice to have a baby by then!

I hope I didn't get excited too soon, last night she fell out : and I'm debating whether we should curtail the new bed until we get some rails. I don't know why I thought she could handle the change, she never falls out of the big bed, but duh . . .

Bronwynn's mattress is directly on the floor. I'm sure she falls out sometimes because I'll go to check on her and she'll be sound asleep on the floor. That kid can sleep anywhere! You can get rails pretty cheap at a kids resale shop usually. I have one but I'm not in Kansas anymore or I'd give it to you. What you can do until you get a rail is roll up a blanket (not one that's too fluffy, you want a solid roll when you are done rolling it) and put it under the fitted sheet at the edge of the bed. We never used a rail when the girls were sharing a full size bed because it was a double pillow top and the rails were too short. We just put rolled up blankets on all edges under the sheet. Bronwynn still fell out occassionally, but they learn how to stay in their bed at night after a few falls and it didn't happen often.

Hi, Guys! I've been gone for so long! My in-laws are here and we've been busy with the end of the school year. It's really late, so I'll keep it short...

So sorry to hear about your loss, Chelsea. I've had 2 m/c and they were so hard. I feel for you and will send hugs & positive vibes your way.

Congrats, Jennifer. I hope you are settling in well. :)

Ava is doing super! She sleeps great and is pottying full time. She has been going through a grumpy phase and will swipe at you (like she's trying to hit you but misses) or blow a raspberry if she doesn't get her way. It's hard not to laugh sometimes. She is so cute, she can get away with a lot if Mom & Dad aren't around. She and big brother decided to "have a sleepover" a few days ago and slept in sleeping bags on her floor. They fell asleep holding hands! So cute!

I'm so glad school's over for the summer - no more lunches to pack. I'm pretty sure ds is allergic to egg whites and who knows what else. Do any of you have any experience with allergy testing? I'm not going to drug him...I just want to know if he has any severe allergies before he starts public school in the fall. Let me know if you have any advice.

Off to bed!

Congrats Rachel!!!

Wow, I haven't been around in a while! We have all been pretty busy around here. On the subject of sleeping...well, lets just say it is still a challenge and an ever changing situation here. After spending the weekend at my parents house, Abhi now wants to sleep in the Noni bed (pack n' play) in our room. Fiona had been sleeping well in her crib, but now wakes up every 30 minutes to an hour, so she is now sleeping in bed with us. So, all 4 of us are in the same room, but I don't really care as long as everyone SLEEPS so mama can get some sleep.

Abhi is still not potty trained, mostly b/c I have been really lazy about it. She goes in the potty when she first wakes up in the morning and when she gets up from her nap, but that's it. Her babysitter told me to just to put her in underwear and send lots of extra clothes and she would work on her during the day if I stayed consistant in the evenings and weekends. So, I just need to start doing it.

Oh! DH is scheduled for the "big V" next month, so no more babies for us. I'm a little sad, but it's for the best I think. I love my 2 little girls and our family feels complete.

If you click the "Mary" link in my siggy, it will take you to my blog. I just posted some new pics of the girls and a cute video of Fiona.

What happened to everyone? I miss our chatter. What's new with everyone?

We're going on a big vacation (the girls and I), leaving on Wednesday. We'll be traveling up to Michigan (starting in Savannah, GA) to visit my family and my best friend for a few weeks. Then we'll go over to Nebraska to see a friend who just had a baby, then down to Kansas for a week (where we used to live) to visit all of our old friends, then down to Oklahoma for a week to visit the in-laws, then across to Alabama to visit bro and his family and some friends from the base in Huntsville that we were at for a short time, then back home to GA. We'll be gone for 6 weeks or so. I'm excited about this trip.

I've really been struggling to get on top of my game the last few weeks. I've been nauseous again quite a bit, having major food issues still at nearly 20 weeks. I don't feel like I've been a real great mom or housekeeper lately. I just have no energy or motivation. I think this trip will be good, it will get me out of the house, get me more motivated, and also give me some good breaks from my kiddos (grandparents are great for that!)

Bronwynn is considering potty training! Over the last few days she has been telling me often when she needs to go and actually going. She went diaperless at the pool today! She hasn't had a poop accident in the pool all summer and lately has been so good about telling me when she needs to go that I told her she didn't need a diaper (she still insists on a diaper most of the time even though she's using the potty more.) Her swimsuit was so saggy on her bottom without any padding. I'm anxious for her to potty train, but I won't push her, she's stubborn enough that she would wait another year if she actually thought I wanted her to potty train.

The girls are both very excited about the new baby and will be going with me to our ultrasound on Tuesday. I'm going to videotape it for dh. We're going to find out what we're having and I can't tell you how excited I am! We never found out with the other two, but I so badly want to know this time and dh caved. I'll send dh the videotape and let him find out that way.

Anyway, I guess that's about all that's new with us. I'd start a new thread, but I just don't have the energy and there hasn't been enough chatter on this one anyway to even get to a second page, so why not just use this one.

Hi Alisha, I think earthmama369 started a page, but it got buried.

On your way south through KS, stop by if you want. I am about 20 mi west of Emporia (and I35) on Hwy 50. Most likely a bit of a detour for you, but you can catch 35 again at the next interchange, and it's very scenic. PM me if interested, but if not I understand, I know it's hard to get everything/everyone in.

Hi everyone! We are all doing well. Abhi has lost interest in the potty for now and I am too lazy to push it. I figure she will let me know when she is really ready. Fiona has a double ear infection and is getting 3 teeth, so we haven't been getting much sleep lately. She is on antibiotics, so her ears feel better now, but her teeth are still bothering her. We have no big plans this summer, but DH is leaving for a bike competition on Thursday in New Orleans and will be gone for 5 days. I plan on going to my parents house for the weekend so I can get some help with the girls for a few days. Since Fiona has started taking more interest in all the toys, Abhi has a really hard time sharing sometimes, so there is lots of no, no, no screaming. Other than that, she is really sweet with Fiona and loves to be Mommy's helper. She is talking almost non-stop and comes up with some funny stuff. She told DH the other morning "Don't go Daddy, I NEED you". It was so sweet!

Rachel, I saw a picture thread when I searched, but I didn't open it since it said is was specifically for pictures. And I figured it would have been linked to this one if it was intended for chatter. I'll go check it out. Not sure about visiting you, though I will be going through Emporia on my way from Lawrence down to Ponca city, OK. You can pm me your phone number and address and I'll see if it works in. It would be around July 25, give or take a few days.

Mary, I'm so sorry Fiona is so sick. Ugh! I think Scheeli may have an ear infection, as she's woke up crying really hard multiple times the last two nights. It's driving me nuts. She tells me she feels fine during the day though. She had a fever for two days, but hasn't had one since Thursday now, so I have no idea what's going on. She's a very dramatic child when she's sick and will just cry and scream and whine all day and not really tell me what's wrong even though she's 4. So, even though I know ibuprofen is not the best for her, I give it to her anyway. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to be a good mommy. She seems to sleep the rest of the night after I give her some Chloraseptic for her throat and some ibuprofen, so there's got to be something going on, just not exactly sure what.

We've had a cold here but no one seems to be suffering much. Rowan has learned to blow her nose! I feel kind of bad that I'm limiting her nursing, but I just feel that when I'm sick it takes a lot out of me to nurse 2. So lately it's been just before nap and bed, which she is slowly and unwillingly adjusting to, then today she didn't nap and I went out to run errands and she only nursed before bed. I know most people wean earlier than this, I just don't know how. It doesn't feel right to me, but neither does tandem nursing.

Think I might enroll her in swimming lessons starting in July.

Rachel, would you consider meeting me at a restaurant or a park or something (depending on the time of day that I go through Emporia) so it's not so much extra driving for me. I'd love to meet you since we lived so close for so long and never met up. PM me your phone number so I can get it in my phone. I'll try to let you know via a PM here what day I'll be going through at least a few days in advance (it will be late July, maybe the 26th-30th, somewhere in there) and then I can call you when I leave (I'll be coming from Kansas City). We would probably be going through Emporia around lunch or early afternoon.

Big news here is that Bronwynn is nearly completely potty trained! People have been asking me for months when I was going to potty train her since we have another baby on the way. I always said I wouldn't and that she was clearly not ready, but when she decided she was ready and wanted to use the potty, that I would encourage her. After encouraging her to go diaperless at the pool she decided the next day that she was ready to be done with diapers. She has wore underpants the last few days with a few accidents, but overall has done really great! She's holding out for a special shopping trip to get some Dora (and Sniper, which is her thing lately) underwear, which I promised her (after she decided she was ready for underwear) if she did really well in her plain jane Gerber trainers for a few days.

Our other big news is that my big U/S is tomorrow! Send me open leg vibes so I can see this little boy (I'm sure this is a boy!) We've never found out the gender before, so I'm really, really, excited about this!
