Since there didn't seem to be on yet, I thought I'd start it.

I weighed in yesterday at my meeting and I lost 2.4 lbs. That felt really good after having a week where I didn't lose the week before. I wonder if my body is switching over to alternating losing lots and maintaining, rather than steady weekly weightloss. I'm considering trying to get more exercise too. So far I just take daily walks with the kids, but I'm thinking I should try to do some intervals or even running (I've never been a runner, but am thinking about trying couch to 5k). Finding time is hard. I do have a double jogging stroller, but it would be hard to convince my dd to go out for a second time in a day. Especially since running would require that I actually buckle her in. Maybe I need to try to go out in the evening after the kids go to sleep. Of course it is so dark then, but if I stay on the sidewalks in the neighborhood it would probably be safe. I'd really like to get a new membership to the Y, but around here its like 60 dollars a month which is pretty expensive.

So how is everyone else doing?

Thanks for starting a November thread. I bet it will get super active once the new plan changes roll out.

My kids would love it if I got outside with them more. I am just so tired/overwhelmed getting basics done right now and am really not exercising but just trying to move more throughout the day.

I lost 3 lbs. last week and am only a pound away from making 10%. Success feels...attainable, even if it will still take time.
I just started C25K thsi week. You should start it so I'd have someone to do it with! Everyone else I've talked to on this forum seems to be so far past week 1.

Is anyone else already worrying about Thanksgiving? I'm going to be out of town for an entire week and I tend to have no willpower when it comes to eating at my parents and in-laws. No one even pushes food, but there's so much of it around, plus I won't have gym access. Add that to two different Thanksgivings, a day making cookies and the 2 bottles of wine I bought for the holiday and I'm worried.

I am brand new to ww but considering it as a tool to help me drop some much needed lbs. I stepped on the scale for the first time in months and I nearly fainted--ouch.

Today is my 4 week weigh in, in a little over 4 hours. Last week at my 3 week I had lost 9lbs which I am happy with. I have started exercising now, my friend and I joined a deep water aquafit class - oh my gosh it's brutal! I haven't exercised in...I think ever! After my body adjusts to the twice a week aquafit class then I will try to add in more activity. I am really, really hoping I lost at least a pound this week which would put my at 10 lbs in just under a month. I decided at 10 lbs I am getting my hair cut and dyed so I am hoping that I met this goal this week. I am very apprehensive and worried about the new plan coming up. I have done WW before and I am used to it. I have memorized points for everything I like to eat and I really hate having to change all that. I am trying to keep an open mind but why would I want to switch plans when I am doing so well on this one??

Ugh I did so bad this week. I got pretty mad at DH one night and used all my extra points, plus my daily points. That was 3 days ago and I'm still disgusted with myself. It doens't help that DD's been sick so I can't drop her off at the gym childcare. My weigh in Thursday is going to be bad.

I'm coming back to WW after a month of not doing it. I weighed in at 136.6 this morning, so I managed to only gain four pounds in my month off.

Since fitting in the meetings was an issue for me, I'm going to try doing it just online this week and see if that's easier to stick to.

I did ok yesterday. Used a couple of points out of my extra weekly points allowance and probably could have done without the ice cream at bedtime, but I didn't go overboard during the day. It really felt like every time I turned around there were sweets being offered (before church, after church, samples at store...).

Today my goal is to stay within my points and to attempt to squeeze in a workout this afternoon.

I weigh in tomorrow. I usually try to eat light the day prior to weigh in. I use all my points but I try to eat earlier in the day vs. late night eating so my meals have time to digest. I stay away from high salt foods and make sure I am eating my fruits and veggies and since I have a lot of points to use I will have the 3 point raisin toast with butter, a few eggs, cream in my coffee, eat my daily dark chocolate at lunchtime vs. bedtime, etc. Not a bad day at all...just different. I have been spending time reading the aussie and uk boards trying to wrap my mind around the new changes coming in a week.

How's everybody doing? I was doing WW online and stuck with it on and off for a few weeks, then seriously fell off the wagon. It seems that I need to go to meetings to keep up with good motivation and support. The weigh-ins with the ladies really seemed to help. Phathui5 I'm interested to hear how things go for you online in these next few weeks.

I lost a good 30 lbs last time I was on WW after dd2 was born. This time I just can't seem to get it together (though it could be because I have a slightly hectic life with the three kiddos being so young and all)! I have *definitely* put on weight in the past month. My neighbour asked if I was expecting again.

I've been thinking about how my eating has gone off track and realized that I am really addicted to sugar. Like seriously, very badly, right now. In the past I've had more self-control, for sure. But I wonder why now all of a sudden it's really bad, out of control. I'm on Prozac - my weight went up on it before when my dosage was higher. Hmmm, that could be it b/c we raised the dosage again recently.

Anyhow, I hope everyone had a good week and are pleased with their progress. Progress, not perfection!

So the new plan was announced online today. I'm sure I'll hear more about it at my meeting on Wednesday, but since I track everything online, I'm already using the new program. Of course I won't know if it is working for me for a couple of weeks (this week is totally off because it's 1/2 old, 1/2 new plan and it was thanksgiving and so I allowed myself a cheat day). I do like the way it works though. My husband is really worried that it will cause him to lose slower though, because we were already eating fairly high fat/ high protein compared to most people on WW, and now the points seem to say that he can just eat more food overall. The things that you have to eat less of are primarily just carbs like toast or oatmeal. I've been eating hot corn mush every morning and even that hasn't really gone up relative to the overall point increase. Has anyone else seen the new program? What do you all think?

I was super excited to see the plan roll out online today too! I don't think the way I eat will change much because I eat pretty healthfully and get a LOT of Points as a breastfeeding mom. Even after I wean and reach goal it seems very doable!

Can I join? I just joined WW online yesterday. I had one day with the old system and now one day with the new so I really can't say how different it is. I did notice my points jumped up. I am breastfeeding so I now get a ton of points.

Carby breakfasts are going to use up a lot more points on the new plan. My husband was eating oatmeal everyday on the old plan, but now he's decided he's better off with eggs and bacon.

The thing I like about the new plan is that I've often been a big believer in Traditional Foods, as well as Primal diets etc. However I still have to watch my overall calories or I won't lose weight. This new way of calculating points seems very congruent with these types of eating plans while still helping to keep my overall portions reasonable. I can't wait to see how it works out for me.

One odd thing I have noticed though is that my daily points didn't go up as much as I expected. I used to have 28 points a day and now I have 36 which is an increase of approximately 30%, but our weekly points allowance increased by 40% and my husbands daily points increased by 40%. It's probably a good thing though because I have been having a hard time losing lately. I went from regularly dropping 1.5 lbs to losing very little or even gaining. I'm really stuck right around 150 and it's a bit frustrating . So maybe this change will shake things up a bit and get me losing again.
