<p>As much as I would like to find a underground midwife to attend me.  I think I am going to need to find a CNM with hospital privileges to go to until I find one. Does any one know of one in the Columbia area? I need one that will be willing to work with me. Or at least one that will allow me to say no to interventions and procedures that I do not want or feel are not necessary. <img alt="" height="30" src="http://files.mothering.com/slingboy.gif" title="" width="26"></p>

<p>I would try posting in the Finding Your Tribe section (South Carolina)....or do a search there, that's usually the best place to get local midwife recs.</p>

<p>if you are willing to travel, Carolina Waterbirth in Simpsonville (near Greenville) just announced they are accepting VBAC mamas.  There is a physician who will be helping them at the birth center. </p>
