A month or 2 back if I stood for long periods of time the tops of my thighs would start to go numb. Generally if I was walking or moving about they'd be fine. It was just while standing still. Then it started if I was in too squishy of a chair. It didn't hurt, was just odd/uncomfortable.

Now the tops of my thighs get a pins and needles/burning type feeling a lot. Walking, standing, sitting, laying down. It's getting pretty annoying. Sitting on the ball helps, but obviously I can't sit on it 24/7!

I know it's the baby pressing on a nerve somewhere, but this is getting old fast! Anyone have any tricks/suggestions/stretches...anything, that worked for you?

Or do I just have crazy legs?

I have had the same type of thing since pretty early in the pregnancy. Mine is mostly confined to the outside of my left thigh, though, and it drives me crazy! I also think it comes from the baby pressing on something because I can't attribute it to any particular position or movement. I have tried getting the chiro to work on it, but it doesn't seem to help much. I don't have any advice, but you aren't the only one who is having strange numbness/pins-and-needles feelings in your legs!

I had this problem before I was pregnant and into the first few weeks and with several treatments from a chiro, I am doing fine. My lateral femoral nerve as being pinched from sitting in an old chair that had a slight tilt in it that I did not notice till after the chiro told me what to look for. He told me many people get this because of damaged chairs/seats, poor fitting shoes, how they stand/walk, bad/old mattresses, etc. After he told me that, I found the problem (the chair went to the dump) and I have been doing great. My chiro specializes in pregnancy patients and I just kind of ran into his practice by accident, what a divine accident!
