My dd just turned 2. My period came back last fall and has been very regular. Then a few weeks ago I cut back on how much dd was nursing. She went from every few hours to only at night. This month my period is now 8 or more days late. I'm wondering if the change in nursing could be causing the late/missed period?

I really can't be preg. because dh had a "V" when dd was 6 weeks old, but I'm feeling slightly freaked out. I just gained 4 pounds over night which also happened with all of my pregnancies and I have been peeing alot.

Hmmm, eight days late? I don't think a change in nursing could cause that type of change, at least not that I've ever heard. If anything nursing less might cause your period to come sooner? But not even that if you've been regular for so long. I'd test for sure.

But dh is sterile, I spoke to the nurse personally, it should not be possible!!! Plus (I know this sounds silly but) I would have to drive 45 minutes just to get to a store that has a pregnancy test. This is starting to really freak me out.

Well, anything's possible
. I'm sorry you're so freaked out though. If you don't want to make the drive maybe you can get a few tests express shipped to you? One for now, one or two for any future JIKs. Well, that's if you can stand to wait a couple days.

Do you chart? Maybe you O'd late for some reason. Are you in any kind of pain at all?

In any case, if it were me, I'd probably make an appointment with my GYN if a late O didn't seem to be the problem. See if we could narrow down what might be going on with my cycle. GL!
