My ds went to his ped. appt. today for a check up. She asked if I breastfed at night still (ds is 17 months). I said yes. She then looked at his teeth and said she was surprised his teeth weren't decayed?!?! Wasn't the new info that teeth didn't decay from breastmilk feedings at night?!

Yes, you are correct. Not only that, but the way the nipple is positioned in the mouth means that the milk goes back to the back of the mouth and down the throat-- it doesn't sit and pool around the teeth. breastfeeding is fine during the night. some people still brush first thing in the morning, just to be safe, but I wouldn't worry about it.
