Last time I ended up having the most success with shelf bra camisoles that could just be pulled down and a boob could be *boom* popped out and just as easily popped back in, which is nice because I found it hard to both hold my babe and wrangle a snap/clip back together with one hand. I could tuck the bottom of them in my pants so they wouldn't ride up, and then pull my shirt up so there wouldn't be any tummy and minimal boob showing. Worked really well. For the real thing I was given a Bravado tank and LOVE it. I have a couple Bravado bras that... eh... were OK but the new tanks are so worth the $$ imo.

I also had a couple of Target nursing bras and have to say the inner liner thing that keeps the straps up is totally annoying and rides up and in between the boobs so it is constantly visible. Maybe they work much better for smaller breasted women or something, but I think they kinda suck.

I will check out the Bravado tank. I got a couple bravado sports bras last time, and they didn't work till a couple weeks after Jack was born. Eventually they were fine. But I like to just lift and not unclick anything. The tank sounds ideal.

I've been wondering when I should buy a nursing bra. It seems like I need at least one before Baby is born, but will my size change a lot? I actually need new bras now as the ones I bought a few months ago are getting tight in the band, but I don't want to buy nursing bras now in case they don't fit after my milk comes in. What are you all doing?

My biggest piece of advice is to go to a profession bra store that sells nursing bras and have them measure and fit you. It will be more costly than buying a bra at Target but IMHO well worth the price. Your back will thank you for the extra support!

I use the Lifestyle Microfiber bra from Bravado and really really like them. Easy to undo and redo the clip with one hand and they're supportive.

I recently snagged 5 of the Bravado Body Silk Seamless bras on fsot on TBW and they are super duper comfy, supportive, and also easy to work the clasp. I love them.

I used to use the kind that you just pull to the side, no clasp, but they stopped being supportive enough for me

.

the Bravado tank still does have the clickers though, it just seems to fit me better than their regular bras for some reason. I hear ya on not liking to click something though, that's why I liked the regular shelf bra camis that aren't even intended for nursing.

After experimenting with all sorts of nursing bras and tanks, I had the most success with Glamourmom tanks so I plan to stock up on some more this time around. I just wore regular tops over them.

I'm bra-free, but I've been wearing nursing camis with a shelf bra for awhile now, as I leak like a sieve and need to wear breast pads every day. I actually really like the ones at Old Navy (which I buy online). For the record, an XL will fit a 38G chest just fine.

I have no idea who makes them, I think Playtex, but I loved their underwire nursing bra with my last two kids. I'm bigger this time around, so if I get one of them, I'm going to have to get extenders.

I purchased a couple of Bravados, but tried them on and they don't fit right now. I know they will after baby is born (probably a few weeks after), but I like the feel of them so far.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any bras in my current size, so that's been a challenge. I do remember Leading Lady bras were nice too.

Ok, i have a question....on the glamourmom tanks/camis-for size, do you go by what you are normally or when nursing?

And the old navy ones look interesting too. I do want something though that will give me a little lift since I am a bit saggy (and actually go to like -a after nursing) after nursing 5 littles already.

Do you feel you get some lift, or shape with the camis? I guess though for everyday, shape isn't that big o' deal. I am thinking for when I go out somewhere.

I briefly owned a glamourmom tank and no, I only felt like it was ok for around the house and wouldn't have gone out in it. It showed more cleavage than I'd like, for one thing, and it also didn't lift things to where I want them
I guess I could've worn a shirt over it, but it was summer, plus that makes it too hard to nurse.
But I know plenty of women do wear them all the time. I'm 36-38D and need lift after nursing 3 already.

They tend to run small, IMO. I couldn't even get into the XXL until a couple of months after I gave birth. Once I could wear them though, they were so comfortable and they do give some support (although the ones sold at Motherhood Maternity are a different material and are not supportive at all) for my DDD boobs.

I haven't found one that can lift my heavy breasts so far-- the bravados were great during pregnancy but aren't enough support now (the double plus and the lifestyle).

I really want them lifted up because I'm hating this constant heavy laying on my chest feeling. Anyone have any suggestions for really, really supportive bras? I think I'm about a 34E/F.

I tried on a Bravado tank last time and LOVED it, but didn't buy one. This time, I probably will get a couple of those at least.

I've used Bravado and Yes! bras in the past, but unfortunately, they don't seem to last through more than one kid for me. The elastic gets shot.
: But I've also been different sizes each time anyway. At 30.5 weeks, I'm a G cup. This doesn't bode well.
With #2, I had to put sticky-backed breast pads on the inside of my T-shirt in order to drive to the maternity shop at 1 week postpartum to buy a bra so I could actually go out of the house. At home, I'd been having to stuff a prefold diaper up my shirt for the leaking.
I could not fit in ANY of my bras from the previous pregnancy, even the Bravado/Yes! ++ styles.

Thankfully, I have a good maternity shop here that I can go try several different bras on and see what works. I liked one of the Medela soft-cup bras. Once I'm settled into a longterm nursing size, I like to get a sized bra, not one of the Bravado-type fits-cups-A-Z type styles. If it fits multiple sizes, it probably doesn't provide a lot of support. But those *are* useful in the first few weeks when the size is actually changing.

Hahaa! I did the same thing ALL the time in the first weeks, of course only at home ! Much better than going thru a million nursing pads in a day !!

I would have rather used the nursing pads, but I just had no bra to hold them!
