Normally weight gain slows down a bit at 4 months so baby has doubled weight by 6 months when it slows again to triple by a year. This may be a mini-nursing strike due to teething or just becoming more aware of what is going on during the day. How many times does baby nurse in 24 hours? How many wet diapers?<br>
I'd offer to bf every three hours and if he refuses, express some milk which you can freeze and save until he is eating solids. Its useful them for cereal and thinning table food like mashed potato. An ice cube tray is good for storing as you have about an ounce in each cube. At this age baby is very efficient at nursing too so a short feed may be all he needs during the day.
