I wear my baby (in a kangaroo korner adj. fleece pouch) whenever we are out and whenever we are home and I need my hands free. I hear people talk all the time about nursing in the slings, but I just can't make it happen. Do any of you nursse in this type of sling and do you have any tips on how to make it work?

Well, maybe tell us what you've tried and what the problem seemed to be, and we can help troubleshoot. I usually used a Maya Wrap for hands-free nursing while moving about. But I found I could nurse in a pouch by sliding babe around into the football hold. With something stretchy like fleece, you mat be able to just pull the fabric that is between babe and breast out of the way.

Here's a video:

The gist is that the pouch stays in place and you reach between the sling and the baby's clothes and shift the baby over so baby's head is opposite your sling shoulder (opposite the rings in a ring sling). So if the sling is on the right shoulder, baby is on left breast. Baby's feet will hang out other side. Reach between fabrics, scoot baby horizontal, latch.

The ring sling video might be helpful, too:
