Hey ladies,

It's been a few months since I've been on here, but here I am. I am 2 days over due, and DYING!!! My cycle has been 33 days exactly since I got it back at 15 months. I did a $ST at day 30, it was negative. I did another this morning and there was an ever so, ever so, ever so light line. I think my eyes are deceiving me, and it wasn't detectable by photo at all. DH wasn't home, so I couldn't get a confirmation (my bro-in-law is over doing some yard work and I almost asked him to come in and check it out, but he's new into the family, and I thought that would be a little much. This was the first month that I noticed that I actually ovulated, and if my CM observations were correct we DTD at the perfect time. Still, 2 days over due and I'm still not getting a positive?!? I'm going out once DH gets home to get a fancy test to see if it gives me better results. Honestly, I'm dying!

It's good to see who's "graduated" since I've been on last, and good luck to the rest of us still here.

Thanks for the new thread!

I haven't posted in a while b/c I've had nothing to say :) Now, however, we are almost done night weaning our ds who is now 14 months. He finally began giving me cues, about 2 weeks ago, that he was ready, and we used the holiday weekend to get started as my dh had 4 days off work! We are still nursing on demand all day, and the break has renewed my appreciation for the BFing relationship, and I am feeling much better rested!

I've also started temping again, what with the 8-10 hrs without nursing for the first time ever!

Here's to ovulating!

Thanks for keeping up with us all Bugglette! I'm STILL waiting to O...la dee dah dee dah. I am waiting on a couple of books I requested at the library: Adventures in Tandem Nursing and Breastfeeding and Natural Child Spacing. I'm not sure exactly what I'm wanting to get out of those books, but maybe I'll find whatever it is!

Thanks for starting the new thread!!

Please someone keep me from testing... I know I would not get a positive yet so why do I want to pee on something...

How many dpo are you? I hear you, it is SO hard not to test early but so not worth it to see a BFN!

Wow and congrats to all the BFPs! Awesome news for MamaThomas and Cellist! Hooray!

I had a really down day today. Cried ugly tears for the first time over this ttc rollercoaster ride I've been on for 10 months. The yuckiest part is, the cry wasn't even cathartic at all. Just made me feel selfish. I never could have imagined the emotional toll fertility issues can take on you, but I guess I'm experiencing them firsthand now. After last month's chemical, and what looks like any chance of a bfp during this cycle circling the drain, I am at the end of my positivity rope.

So here's my question, how do I know when to I throw in the towel and make an appointment with a doctor? I have been SO hopeful that time and patience and maybe a little b6 would get me pregnant, I am reluctant to go the medical route. I turned 33 last month, my daughter is 3 years old, I have mostly normal looking charts, and a limited budget for expensive fertility measures. After an intervention-laden cesarean birth with dd, I was hoping to be free of the medical establishment for #2. Should I just keep trying on my own or go to a doc? If I do go to an MD, what kind do I go to? Do I start with my ob and then move on from there or go straight to a fertility specialist?

Sorry to be so terrible and negative, but I am just ready to be pregnant already!!!

for all of the two-week waiters!!

Welcome back jennyvangy! hopefully a "real" test will give you a good strong BFP!

I'm glad night weaning is going well for you, EmTheWife

texasfarmom, I hope you find just what you need in those books!

I'm sorry that you have been feeling down, jips. It is a hard process for sure! I think most specialists won't do anything unless you've been trying for 12 months plus? That is when I would go in for testing. Also, for me personally, I would go strait to a specialist if I was looking for medical intervention, only because I don't have a 'normal' OB, I just see whoever is available in the midwife/DR practice I go to for my annuals. So I don't have a close enough relationship with anyone there, that I would want to ask their opinion first.

AFM....nothing new, trying not to think/stress too much about this TTC thing, that's kind of why it took me so long to post July.

Well, it looks like I'm here another month! I got the fancy test and planned on taking it in the morning, but started bleeding in the night. The good thing is, this month things were definitely different, so it gives me hope for the upcoming month! I spotted a bit on day 30, which I hoped was implantation spotting, and I was 2 days late (day 35), so maybe my body was making a good attempt this month. Anyway, I feel better knowing than not knowing, and at least I get to spend some more time with the wonderful women on this forum! Here's to an April baby for me!

jips: Have you had basic fertility type blood work done? Day 3 stuff, maybe a progesterone day 7 test? Your regular GP should be able to order that for you. I think the 'rule' is 12 months of trying with good timing before any further testing is done.

I hope you are successful soon!

jennyvangy: Boo for af but I'm glad things are looking up for the next cycle :)

Afm: I can be moved to the 2WW (thanks Bugglette!) I'm 3DPO, we had great timing and I had a pretty good temp shift after O this time. Planning on testing at 11DPO I think. DD is sleeping SO well these days it's very strange for me to feel rested in the morning!

Hi Mamas--hope everyone is staying cool this week. :) Thanks to Bugglette for bringing us into July!

I'm still waiting to O on day CD13 now. I've been taking B6 after two 8-day L-phases so I am hoping it will work its magic soon!

I'm glad that your DD is sleeping better!

that this is your month!

AFM: FF gave me crosshairs and although my CM lines up, it's a small temp shift and I'm not entirely convinced this is it....just another fake-out, lol. Although, my nipples HURT....very badly, since [supposed] 3dpo. I guess we'll see in the next several days. I haven't been temping the last couple days because I'm waking up at 4/4:30 instead of my normal 7 (for a daycare child's arrival), and I purposely shoot out of bed to keep myself from falling back to sleep, LMAO (temps will start again on Sat

Hi ladies and good luck to all of you!

Update: Remember the few days of ewcm and a high/soft cervix 8 days ago (after that it's been low and hard)? While checking cervix position tonight guess what I found! Blood!!!
af.gif
For the first time in 19 months pp!!! Wow!
biggrinbounce.gif
So maybe it really was ovulation those 8 days ago(?) but with a short lp? I'm hoping it wasn't because we didn't even try to bd on those days.
oops.gif
So whether this is my first official ppaf or just some sort of bleeding that I can consider ppaf I guess I can be added to waiting to O.

I wonder if Vitex helped me or if I would have still gotten my ppaf. 11 or 12 days after I started taking it I had ewcm that lasted a few days. I had one day of ewcm about 5 weeks before as well with no other fertility signs back then. I also cut out 2 nursing sessions a day when I started taking Vitex.

Please, help me with this:

* Do I keep taking Vitex? Should I try not take it and see what happens with my cycle? If I continue should I wait after af goes away or do I take it through af as well? I haven't researched Vitex this far.

* Even if we did try to ttc this month I'm assuming 8 days is way too short of a lp, correct? B6 might help?

* Did most of you - that have had their af for a while now - have mostly irregular non-ovulatory cycles at the beginning or were they pretty regular?

I'm happy something has happened and that I know why I was so
