Nursing necklaces and toddlers

496 Views 3 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  tickled-pink
I am BF'ing my 25 month old ds, and he LOVES to stroke and play with my other breast while feeding. IT DRIVES ME NUTS!!! I just feel supersensitive, and I really want him to stop. I have been thinking about a nursing necklace. Would this work with a toddler who has never seen one before? Any suggestions for a reasonably priced one? Or any other tips to stop him from doing this?

I think this is a great age to introduce a nursing necklace because you can get (or make) one with beads that he'll like. If he's into animals, get one with lots of different kinds of animals, or if he really likes celestial things, go that route. When my daughter was an infant, she didn't give two hoots about the nursing necklace, but when she was older...probably around 16 months and up, she began to notice it more. Her favorite was a wooden one with elephants on it.

If you do a google search of Nursing Necklaces, you'll get lots of options.

Can you hold his hand while he nurses to cut down on the touching?

Good luck!
