I found a lovely silver necklace with a silver chain at attachments catalogue. I didn't intend it to be a nursing necklace, but Kevin has yanked on it numerous times and it hasn't broken yet and I've owned it since May. It's very solid, but very earthy as well. It's not exactly cheap (I think it was around $50), but it's something that I will wear long after a little person is at my breast.

i have several of them and they're great - i don't use them much for nursing anymore, but the kids still get a lot of use out of them.

Do you have a rock shop that has an assortment of stones nearby? I found some interesting stones and strung them through a piece of leather cord (also at rock shop). That's my nursing necklace.

Has anyone seen those Amber teething necklaces sold in waldorf circles? Are they long enough to be a nursing necklace.
The amber teething necklaces aren't suitable as nursing necklaces.

My son had one from 4 months onward and I loved it so much & found it so helpful with teething that I now sell them myself. They are made specifically for babies and for additional safety are knotted before and after each bead.

They aren't suitable as nursing necklaces as they aren't meant to be fiddled with or chewed on. They are worn by babies & toddlers to help with teething pain.
