I have to say nursing pads have been my biggest frustration for nursing. I am getting more comfortable nursing in public but the hardest part is getting my nursing pads in and out without flashing anyone. Actual BF in public is going great. My son is 11 weeks old and I started out with a huge supply. I was leaking constantly. Now quite often my breast pads are dry at the end of the day but when I do leak it usually completely saturates and leaks through the pads. Im not thrilled with the disposable ones but pour through the cotton ones I have. So, any recommendations for a better cotton one or how to make nursing in public a little easier with pads? I am getting so frustrated with those things!

I was a leaky lady with my first baby, too. I definitely liked the disposable ones better at first, I think using the cotton ones when I wasn't at home caused me to get thrush.

My secret for not flashing is to reach down in my shirt before I undo my bra and take the pad out of one side and then stick it in the other, so that there's two in the side you're not nursing. Might work for you!

If you sort of... uh... use your arm and push on your non-sucked-on-at-the-time breast you won't leak as much when your baby is nursing. Try it at home, you sort of just push on the nipple, with practice you can get pretty discreet. Have you tried Lilypadz ? I really liked mine. I got mine at Motherhood Maternity, but I've seen them at other baby stores, with the nursing products. They don't absorb, they just keep the milk from coming out. No, I didn't have any problem with them causing plugged ducts or anything.

Danish woolen nursing pads. I'm telling you, they are God's gift to mamas with heavy let downs!! They even have pads that are made for EXTRA heavy wetters. They are comfy (never itchy, cool in summer, warm in winter), and they work better than ANY cotton or disposable pad I have ever used. And I tried a LOT of nursing pads before I found these. And I'd never use anything else, ever again.

The brand name is Lana, and if you google it, you should get Motherwear as well as the company that brings them into the US. I buy directly from the distributor...she's a really nice lady!

I just drop my bra cup down under my boob w/ the pad in it, and then after I pull my bra back up and I'm all covered I can reach in and adjust as needed, but it often goes right back where it was... I have a bravado that just drps down, that style, and cloth pads, and enormo-boobs
. That's how I started doing it at home, just to try to not lose track of the pads at each nursing, and to remember to put them back in
I love the idea of sticking it in the other bra cup, too!
