Hi Mamas,

I'm 20 weeks pregnant and still nursing my beautiful 22 month old. I haven't had any problems with nursing while pregnant so far until today when the pain got pretty bad. I've also noticed that my breasts have gotten a lot bigger in the last few days so could my milk be changing over to collostrum? I can easily hand express so my milk hasn't dried up. I shortened our nursing sessions today because the pain got intense He's not even close to ready to wean and I'm not ready to wean him! Will this get better???

Hi Aley!
First of all, sorry...I can't answer your question. Some moms never experience pain, some experience pain the entire pregnancy, some only for part of the pregnancy. If I had to guess, I'd say that it could be a hormone surge, or a change in your breasts/breastmilk, and that it may go away in a few days/weeks. I hope it does!!!
Secondly...20 weeks? Already? Wow!
Third...when is it my turn?
If you ever need to talk/gripe/ask questions, go out, come over and play, etc. feel free to call!

Oh...and pick up a copy of Adventures in Tandem Nursing (or do you already have it?) ... there is some good info in there (p 50-53).
