in your nipples?

I just pumped and it was pretty painful when I turned on the pump and the tenderness didn't subside until I shut the pump off. I also noticed more tenderness when dd nursed last night.

So my question is how early did you feel pain associated with pregnancy? If I am pregnant, I am very, very newly preggo. If this new tenderness is not associated with pregnancy, then I might have a recurrence of thrush or it might just be unexplained soreness. (I sure hope it's not thrush - getting rid of that stuff last year was such a pain.)

Any thoughts on this?

PS. I sure hope I can join you all here soon!

I think I noticed nipple soreness (during nursing) when I was around 2 or 3 wks pregnant. I hadn't taken a preg test at that point, so I'm just trying to think back and remember the time frame. That tenderness was really my only noticable pregnancy sign. I think that since I was nursing a 10month old at the time my nursing hormones counteracted a lot of the normal pregnancy hormones that cause nausea and tiredness and that sort of thing. But, everyone's different! My pregnancy-related nipple pain has always started about a week after ovulation. It's usually my first sign of pregnacy. This time on the 4th morning of extremely painful nursing, I figured I should probably test and got my BFP at 10 dpo

Nipple soreness has always been my first symptom. This PG is the first one where I was already nursing. I started noticing it about 5 days before I tested, so that would have put me at about....hmmm, 5 weeks?

I thought it was just the acrobatics DD was performing, lol.

It went away after a while, but then came back when my milk supply dropped down to almost nothing. It's no fun having someone suckle on an empty breast!

Gosh, I guess I'm the oddball... I didn't start noticing nipple pain until about ten weeks (I'm twelve weeks now). Then it was a sudden thing, and I think it coincided with a drastic drop in my milk supply, like Piglet. I actually got a blister on my nipple from Mylo sucking when there was nothing to be had... he proclaimed the nanas "broken," and now in the mornings, instead of nursing, he wants cheese and grapes. :LOL

when will you test?

thanks for the stories mamas!

well, if my body is like rubelin's, then we may have a little bean in there. But, if not, then I've got another problem I'll wait a couple week or 10 days to think about testing.

Things were just so darned uncomfortable this morning that I got to thinking ....

If I get that BFP, I'll definitely put the word out.

That was my first sign I had Oed! I knew right when I Oed before I had my first af b/c I could barely nurse. In fact I had to give some extra bottles b/c I just couldn't take it. It was like he was a nb all over again. It stopped when I got af. It happened again the next month when I Oed, but then I got pg so I was fine again. In the last week or so I've had really tender nips. It hurts just for the latch on though, nothing like when I Oed. Good luck!

i had pain a few days after Oing. i remember i was really excited about it because i hadn't had it before so i was really hopeful it was a symptom and sure enough it was. it went away a few weeks after i tested positive but has been replaced by a touched out feeling that in some ways is less bearable.

i hope this is a good sign for you!!! :
