Is it safe to bf with Nuvaring? I've read somewhat conflicting opinions, but they all seem to be related to nursing babies.
My ds is 3. I'm working my way to weaning, so it would be ok if it affects my supply.
Is there a reason to be concerned about the safety of it for ds though? He nurses often, so he gets his fair share of milk

I started it one month ago and I'm nursing two toddlers! Since they both get the majority of their nutrition from solid food, I wasn't worried. DS only nurses once a day and DD still nurses 5+ times a day, and neither has seemed affected at all. It didn't impact my supply at all, either, which was my main concern. My nurse-practitioner felt comfortable prescribing it to me. Personally, I wouldn't take it while exclusively nursing an infant, but with a toddler I'm not bothered.

Cool, thanks!
I went to the doc yesterday, and they said the same thing you did- it's safe for nursing toddlers.
I didn't get it, though, because they were a tad bit concerned about my family history of breast cancer (no close relatives, but a few more distant relatives on both sides).
