interesting, but not so glowingly pro-intact....

According to the article the increase in intactness is not ONLY due to the latino population increasing.
And they managed to find one (converted) Jew circumcised by choice as an adult that thinks sex is better.
I wasn't aware there were so many comments coming out:

Yup, we're all thinking the same thing here. Un f-ing believable. I don't even feed my kids food that I'm not willing to eat myself (like mashed up, unseasoned veggies...ick, but I'll eat them b/c I want my kids to.)

If an evil person kidnapped my kids and me and told us, "one of you is getting circumcised" I'd say, "me, me me...leave them ALONE"

Which I think makes it even more puzzling (besides the reports the boy said he does NOT want to be circumcised) that there are Jewish organizations that are backing up the father. but I suppose all that is bordering on religious discussion.

All in all I think it was a pretty good article and I'm glad that the issue is getting media attention so that others can learn about this.

That Oregon story is DISGUSTING. That father needs to be reminded that a major tenet of Judaism is to do no harm to others. AND there should be NO question if the boy is old enough to voice his own dissent.
