I am looking for a practice that takes KY Medical Cards. I would like a midwife, or a good "hands-off" OB Thanks

Where in NKY are you? I don't know about KY medical cards, but your best bet is going to be Dr. Bowen in Cincinnati. It's quite a drive to get there (it was about 45 minutes for us from Bellevue), but he's the only doc in the area worth having. He backs up all the homebirths in the area, and is the only one who will do it. Don't waste your time on the CNM's at St. Luke's, you'll have a miserable experience.

I am in Cold Spring, so around the same area. Thanks for the tips about the CNMs at St. Luke, that is what I was considering. I will look into Dr. Bowen

I would recommend Sara Ferguson, CNM in Florence if Dr. Bowen does not work out for you.

Sister Kay Kramer is an awesome midwife that works out of Healthpoint in NKY. They see medical card patients. She delivered my son and made a tough situation (long story) go smooth. One of the docs in the group (Dr. Hall) delivered my 2 nephews as well, and both deliveries were smooth despite my SIL having severe pre-e and high BP (no forced c-sections or anything).

If you want more info, let me know!

http://www.healthpointfc.org/staff/kramer.shtml
