I just found out my beloved crunchy OB will be out of town starting Sat-about 10 days after...what I'd say is prime delivery time. So of course now I am hoping she either comes this week or waits 2.

So I had an exam at 36 wks and had spotting after...just a tad of light brown not mucusy spotting. I had an exam today and a bit later had a large chunk of mucus with very pinkish stringy strands and stuff in it. (No fruit punch since last week either).

Some one humor me and tell that is bloody show and not spotting from exam so I can have this baby and not be stuck with the butcher that is on call next week!!!

With ds I had the same thing and it was the bloody show. So, there is some hope.

Sounds more like your mucus plug than bloody show. My bloody show was verrrrry bloody, with no mucus.

When I think back to my first DD, I had no mucus loss at all until the day before I had her, then I lost one glob that was tinged pink. With DD2 my water broke before any mucus/bloody anything happened and I was active labor and lost a crud load of brownish red mucus during labor.

This time I have been losing big chunks of mucus plug the last few days but without blood. Last exam I had the VERY slighest brown spotting. This time, after the big chunk of pinkish mucus, I am now having some pretty decent spotting/bleeding but it's all brownish.

Who knows. Clinging to hope that baby may be ready this week, but cautiously clinging. If not, STAY PUT BABY!

Follow up question....how long after exam is normal to have bloody mucus? I'm 24 hrs post exam and just expelled a stringy wad of brown mucus. Is that normal exam aftermath? I've just never been an exam bleeder, even in my last 2 pregnancies.

Only paranoid because I was up last night w/ sudden onset of back cramps that this morning are coupled w/ menstral type cramps. Which is how I felt the couple days before having my first daughter. Or it could be a backache

Still spotting. Mama intuition (and past experience) is making me feel like this is the prelude.

1-2 days before DD1 I got sudden onset of what felt like chronic period cramps and lower back pain. I have same thing, along w/ some contrx today.

Not sure why, as I just booked weekend w/ fun stuff and resigned myself to a wait....but this feels pretty familiar. I keep getting up thinking I need to go to the bathroom and nuthin.

I'd be suprised if I was still pregnant this weekend. Even though I have planned a zoo trip, hot date w/ DH, trip to my folks, and a Royals baseball game. Go figure, lol.

We shall see!
