You just type it in, using asterisks, numbers, and whatever smilie you want. You have to change it yourself.

I'm thinking of putting one in my sig, now that I'm actually 4 weeks (well, as of Sunday).

ETA: So, for the one in my sig, I did this:
[color= dark orchid]**** : shy 5****10****15****20****25****30****35****40[/ color]

except without the spaces in the color tags and smilie.

i don't have any fatigue but a lot of nausea so far, and even though i seem to have tons of energy but that may just be because i am so happy and excited i couldn't sit still and had to go play ddr for a while then i got hungry and ate and now i kinda regret it.
this does' feel real yet, will be me and my partners first child so it is all extremely new to us, and we only tried for a month and are both shocked i got pregnant so fast. i took more tests today just to be sure
i guess i'm not just happy and excited but also really scared of this being real.

Hi all,

I had a little spotting yesterday - and they did a blood draw for my second beta. Today, the spotting is brownish (which I think is not a good sign?) and I have to wait until 4pm for the results of the blood test.

I am super-hungry, so I'm headed out for some food. When I get back, I get to call the dr's office for the results of the beta - I'm hoping for a number between 2800-3200. (Which would be in the range of doubling last Thursday's 749 twice, if that makes any sense to you.)

I have my first OB appt on Thursday. I really DON'T want an early ultrasound, but my guess it that if the beta results aren't in line with expectations, that I will have to have one. (Unless, of course, bleeding starts in earnest between now and then.)

Oh, and I think my cervix is open. That's not good, right?

ASusan, I hope your results are good! Please post when you find out. My feeling is that brownish blood is "old" and therefore not as alarming as bright red, "fresh" blood. Does that make sense? I know there are a lot of women who spot (or even have full-blown menses) for parts of their pregnancies with no ill effects. I hope that's the case for you!

Yes, I have to admit - I've been eyeing the online stores. I also can't wait to tell everyone, start interviewing midwifes, etc.

This morning (18DPO) I got my first solid dark line, after a few days of faint lines so I feel more confident now. I may even tell my parents when they come over tomorrow.

I discovered that my favorite store (that being the one that carries clothes I can actually wear!) has started carrying maternity! I told DH that it was a sign that I HAD to have another baby. But I am trying to resist shopping TOO much until I actually need to. The troublesome thing is that I really need some new bras, and I was about to get a bunch, but now I'm not sure if I should wait or go ahead! Hrm... Anyhow, I am eager to get into maternity wear, but it is true that I just bought a bunch of "real" clothes, too!

Yes, I keep waking up at like 3 or 4 in the morning wide awake. Oh, and I am exhausted at 8 when the little ones get up and want to get going. My body seems ready to sleep then. :

Heck yes! I bought 2 cool hippy maternity tops in my size on Ebay. One of them was about 6 weeks ago, and the second was more like 3 weeks ago. At least I get to wear them now. : There is some really cute summer maternity stuff, and I have not needed any summer maternity wear for the last 2. I have some long-sleeved maternity, but virtually no summer stuff.:

The store is Lane Bryant (sz 14+).. they started out as a maternity store and are finally adding it back in again!

I have NO clue how the DDC thing works. I find it a bit strange that we have folks coming in with edds towards mid-month and still have no official spot. But my first DDCs were on another board that did DDCs EARLY. Mamas would join when they were TTC for that month, then move to the next month, etc. I don't think I've been part of a DDC here this early!

ASusan, congrats on the high numbers!

I have been spotting brownish blood -- I removed my IUD just after af ended, and I believe it is just old tissue. Also, the blood vessels swell during pregnancy, which can lead to bleeding if there's any sort of irritation (yeast infection, sex, etc).

I do this too -- did it through much of my pgcy with M as well. Frustrating sometimes, but mostly I just went to bed at 8 or 9 when the kids did and started my day early. Often I would have a quick nap in the afternoon, though.

Congrats Matt's Mom!!!

How are you guys getting the results of your blood tests so fast? It took my dr's office almost a week to get the results of my blood test back to me! Here's hoping my OB's office will be able to do it quicker.

Well, I've told almost my whole family now...still trying to get in contact with one of my brothers, but the cat's pretty much out of the bag. I'm feeling pretty confident that this baby is going to be sticky.

My dr's office does them on site, if you have the blood draw at their main office. I was getting the draw done at their suburban office, which doesn't deliver the blood to the main office until noon or so...so if you get a draw done in late afternoon, you don't get the results until the NEXT afternoon (after 4pm). I thought THIS was a long time.

IIRC, my old OB with my 1st pg, had to send their blood to the hospital, so the results took 2-3 days. (And had an extra layer of billing associated with it.)

I have been waking in the night to pee, which is NOT unusual for me. What IS unusual is that I have been having problems getting back to sleep. This has been happening for 3 weeks. SOmetimes I wake as early as 2am...and can't get back to sleep until 4-5. Last night, I finally was able to go back to sleep relatively quickly. Here's hoping for the same this time.

And I'm not exhausted. Yet.

The whole purpose of the HCG is to find out if your numbers are doubling (at least) every 24-48 hours, so I think most people have it done, get the results, and have it done again the next day or two.

With my dd (this is SO tmi, you are warned, feel free to skip this paragraph) I was nervous because I was spotting but it was actually... a bleeding hemorhoid. UGH! I did the HCG with my doc, and it was fine. This time, no HCG -- I'm going on faith that things will be okay, and if they're not okay, well, I still have faith.
