I've been craving nutritional yeast like crazy! It's such a strange thing to crave, but I've heard that B-complex vitamins help relieve ms and I've got horrible nausea going on right now, so I guess it's my body's way of helping me out. I've been making popcorn and sprinkling nutritional yeast very liberally over it. If it wasn't so cold here, I'd try it in a smoothie, but I just can bring myself to drink something cold.

Anybody else got strange cravings?

BEETS! I could eat jars of them right now. I've heard they have folic acid in them which is probably why I crave them- cause I have to say I'm not a big beet eater.

Chicken.

With my first two pregnancies, I could barely tolerate any poultry at all. It gave me the willies. And, when I did eat it, it had to be the uber-fancy Bell and Evans. With this baby, I want chicken every single night. It's crazy.

For me, it's odd not to crave something sweet and naughty. With this pregnancy, though, sweets (even moderately sweetened foods) just seem sickeningly sweet and unbearable.

What I am craving is butter. Yummy, salty, creamy butter. I spread it on saltines and slather it on hot english muffins. Yum.

During my last pregnancy, while I was at the grocery store, I got an overwhelming craviing for anchovies. Since they hadn't any, I settled for canned sardines. The craving had passed by the time I got home and, 2 years later, the can still resides in my pantry.
