I knit a pair of longies for my daughter in the fall that have what I think would be closest to a fair isle design in the seat area. Is it possible to take out those stitches and replace them with something else? The main color yarn is stranded behind the design and I when I did the contrasting colors (two of them) I used individual pieces for each row. So would I be able to remove to color yarn and reknit with the main color?

Thanks for any advice!
