So, here are our scheduled ultrasounds and the tally of what the baby is! Boy/Girl/Surprise

i already had mine- boy!!! that was on 3/30. not sure if the midwife will actually want another one or not, as i *think* they were able to see everything they needed to wr to the spine and heart and brain etc.

oh so very bored today at work and trying to occupy myself so i don't fall asleep at work.

Our ultrasound is next Monday, 4/20. Open leg vibes, please! We're split down the middle in our house. Nathan and I want a boy, Piper wants a girl. Piper thinks it is a girl, Nathan thinks it is a boy, and because of timing and acidity I think it's a girl. So we're 50/50 between the three of us. We'll see.

It's been seven years since I've had an ultrasound, and we had only one with Piper. I need a full bladder, right? It's first thing in the morning and the scheduling person made it sound like I should just not pee. Right..... She's obviously never been pregnant. I can't go all night and then some. I can barely go all night. So I figured I'd drink a caffeinated soda so the baby would be awake and I'd have a full bladder. If that's not necessary I may just eat an easter bunny, since that just woke the baby up and it doesn't fill my bladder.

You shouldn't need a full bladder at 20 weeks. You need one in early pregnancy to push the uterus up out of the pelvis a bit, but at this point the baby should be perfectly visible without.

And I wouldn't eat anything sugary beforehand. Sugar tends to make babies more active, and that can make imaging difficult. If they can't get a good picture, they'll often times ask you to go get something to eat and come back in an hour hoping that the baby will move with food.

Our u/s is April 27th- I'll only be 17w5d, so we're keeping fingers crossed that everything is visible. DH and I think it's a boy, so does my 6yo DD. 8yo DD thinks girl, and 3yo DS doesn't have a clue what we're talking about

Agreeing w/cristeen- Wendy, I've never needed a full bladder at a 20wk u/s. The baby is far enough "out" not to need the bladder pushing it forward. Sometimes an overactive baby can make the imagine difficult- too much movement makes it hard to get good cardiac pics, as well as good spinal images.

i was 17 5 on the day i had mine- 3/30

we could see pretty clearly, lol. fwiw, my oldest was right about his sis being a girl, and about this one being a boy

Our u/s is scheduled for May 7th. Can't wait to see if any of our predictions are correct!!!

I haven't schedule my u/s yet, mw just had a baby and I am waiting for her to be ready so no rush. We are predicting a boy, because that is the trend around here

we are going to hopefully find out if baby cooperates.

My u/s is May 4 and we're going to find out. We think it's a girl so I'm excited to see if it is. I am so glad that I know this time around not to drink the full amount of water. Nobody told me I didn't need to the first time, and I drank the whole amount, only to be told to pee ALL of it out when I got there! I have to drive 45 min to the place I'm going to (I'm going to one that will tell the sex, the local ones won't tell), so it's a good thing I know not to drink all that water!!!

mine is 5/4. really don't know if it's boy or girl! my mom is pushing for boy, but i've saved all my girl stuff, and have "always thought" i'd have two girls. we are going to find out!
