I used to LOVE Fun Dip when I was a kid. The only negatives were that the stick never lasted long enough, and that those three pouches of sugar are probably the only thing harder on the tongue than Cap'n Crunch.<br>
We were in the grocery store today and they had a bag full of single pouches, each with its own Lik-a-Stix.<br>
Heaven. Heaven, I say.

Dh eats that stuff like it's candy. Oh wait, it is. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br><br>
I won't let my kids eat it but I don't hold dh and I to the same standards. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/duck.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Duck">:

I wish you could just buy the stick! I love the stick, but the dip burns my tongue! Fun Dip, Pixie Sticks and Gobstoppers are my favorite candies. I love them <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin"> but really try not to ever buy them around the kids. I'm not sure if that makes me a good mom or a bad mom. Depends on who you ask I guess.<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

I love that stuff!<br><br>
An entire movie-theater-sized bag of Sour Patch Kids is REALLY, REALLY hard on the tongue. Ouch!

Oh no. Like I needed some other junk food thing to crave! Is the formula still the same? I used to love the Lik-a-stix. You know what, if it is the same, lie and tell me the formula is different and it sucks now. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

And at least in the Easter pack, there are extra flavors!!! Ds1 generously offered me his strawberry<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/yummy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="yummy"> which I just finished. Similar to the strawberry of pop rocks, oh my!<br><br>
MiaPia--yes a 3 pack is a serving, but these snack size ones (how's that? <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> ) have a whole stick to a slightly smaller powder pack--much more stick for the amount of powder, so more to crunch at the end.<br><br>
OT, but one of the sno cone places around here has a flavor called silver fox--it tastes JUST like the candy stick!!! waiting for summer...

I used to always get them in that size as a kid. I like the one stick per sugar packet. 2 sticks and 3 packets is just wrong. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

There was no "Fun Dip" when I was a kid, I am way too old. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/winky.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Wink"> I suppose if it had been a part of my childhood, my big rule about "no sugar that you dip into other sugar" would be less enforcible. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br><br>
We did have pixie sticks, though. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/innocent.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="shy">

Fun Dip was one of those treats we only used to find at the community pool snack bar, so it always reminds me of summer. I love Fun Dip.<br><br>
My kids got some in a goody bag at a party and they loved it. Luckily they haven't asked for it again! I haven't seen it in stores (and wouldn't buy it for them anyway).<br><br>
What a great memory, thanks!

Oh! That reminds me! Alivia got a single serving fundip in her Easter basket...I didn't want her to have it, so I hid it to eat myself, later. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/duck.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Duck">: I just remembered I haven't eaten it yet, and I saw it earlier today!<br><br>
Well, it's too late in the night (2 AM!) so I'll have to do it another time!
