Ok, so I've got 2 identical bottles of EBM in my fridge. I know that one is from Wed, and one is from about 2 wks ago. :doh Both look and smell exactly the same. Do I need to throw them both out since one is past the 8-day limit and I don't know which one it is? Or is it really ok? Will it make him sick if I guess wrong and give him the older one?

BTW, DS is about 2 1/2 mos old, if that makes a difference. Thanks!

If it doesn't smell spoiled, then it isn't. Believe me, you can tell! Some of the time limits with breastmilk are more about dimished nutritional value rather than spoilage. But you know, my feeling on that is that if the baby takes 6 feedings from the breast in a day and one that's a bit on the downslide nutritionally, it's no biggie. It's not like the pumped milk is supplying all the necessities if we're talking an occasional bottle, KWIM?
