First, I am 37 years old and this will be my third child. My husband and I have talked about having a third, but it's always been kind of not serious talk. We did decide to stop using birth control. But, I have never gotten pg easily. It took us two years to have our second child. That was the single most heartbreaking period in my life. Before that, it had taken several months to get pg with our first.

So, our first month of not using birth control and I've been feeling very bloated lately. This morning, I finally looked at the calender thinking "Where in the h is my period, I want this bloating to be gone." I discovered that I am SIX days late. I am never late, ever. Not even when I am stressed and I am not stressed right now.

So, now I am stunned. Yes, we want a third, but I did not expect it to happen so quickly - lol. I'm still getting used to the idea. Anyway, I just wanted to tell someone! My husband is at work and I can't get ahold of my sister. I needed to get it out. LOL

Now that I think back over the last few weeks, I think there have been signs. I had that feeling in my stomach, kind of like flutters a time or two. And, I had a cold sore pop up out of nowhere. That always happens when I am pg. I do get them sometimes when I am not, but they come on slower. And, my fingers have been bloated, which is another sign, but it has been humid lately, so that is not unusual.

I'm nervous, excited, scared, thrilled and I don't know what else all at once! Somebody talk to me and tell me that I can handle three kids...

I am going to Walmart today, so I will buy one. A part of me doesn't want to test yet. I just want to feel like this for a couple more weeks. Just enjoy knowing but not really knowing scientifically. Isn't that wierd - lol. With both of the boys, I was always counting down the days (the minutes practically) until my period was officially late and then I would test right away. This one snuck up on me!
