So I was concerned about my pole beans and that they were taking so long to flower and produce.

About 2-3 weeks ago my Scarlett runners started producing worm like beans.

I picked this one today

Scarlett runner bean, please tell me this thing is ready to pick

Yup! That'd be a mature runner bean! You might find the larger ones to be rather stringy, so I use them like snap beans, and "destring" them as I'm snapping before I steam them. Ones that are actually a bit smaller are more tender, too. I would save some of the big ones, though, now, and let them make your seeds for next year!
thanks,

What do I need to do to save them for next year?
