I was so, so proud of myself for prepping the placenta for encapsulation, despite it triggering my gag reflex multiple times. I put it in the oven at 200, but then we got busy with putting the kids to bed and sort of forgot about it. I just pulled the pan out of the oven and it looks pretty burnt. Is it still usable at all if it's been overcooked? I hate to waste all my earlier effort, but on the other hand, I haven't gotten the capsules yet and don't want to spend time grinding it and putting it into capsules if it's not going to be good.

Anyone know?

Thanks!

Dried out things look burnt to me, so hopefully it's just really good and dried? I'd still encapsulate.

I would be really surprised if it were actually burnt not just really super dried out...especially at 200 deg. I thought this when I encapsulated for the first time but after doing a workshop for encapsulation I saw that the example they had was what I thought was burnt. Hard as a rock and very dark is just fine!

Yeah, 200 for a while seems like it would be well dehydrated. It could not hurt, anyways.
