I woke up feeling something wet in between my legs (I slept naked). I didn't think anything of it and went to the bathroom. When I wiped, there was blood. Not heavy, but blood still. So, I checked my bed and sure enough it was a patch of blood that went through the sheet and onto the mattress. I have some slight cramping but that is fairly normal for me. I have never had a miscarriage or anything before. I am so scared. We just heard baby's heartbeat yesterday before they drained the sores.

I am hoping the spotting is from the terrible untreated yeast infection I have from the antibiotics, but honestly, I don't think so. The weird thing is I have a nose bleed too (haven't had a nose bleed in years). I don't get this and I am so scared. I can't lose my baby, I just can't. I am 15 weeks today.

What should I do? Do I call the OB? Go to a hospital? It is only 5:55 here and everyone is sleeping. The first bus doesn't leave for an hour so I have to wait at least an hour. Any ideas of what I should do?

Yes, do give your provider's office a call and then plan on getting yourself to the hospital. Most likely you'll need a scan to find out where the bleeding is coming from.

Keep us posted, ok?

I called the OB and I just happened to get a brand new NP who has only worked there for 6 weeks. She said she isn't sure how I can get an ultrasound this weekend because she doesn't know how it works. She did say that I shouldn't worry since we heard the heartbeat yesterday and that the chance of miscarriage is basically zero and to rest. However, I don't know if I can do that. I am going to rest a few hours I think and than call my primary who I have been seeing for the cysts. I am very close to her and trust her judgement. I will ask her if I should go to the ER or wait for an ultrasound until Monday. Thank you very much everyone, it means a lot to me. Everything this pregnancy is so tough and unknown to me.

If I remembering right, aren't your platelets really low? That may have something to do with it. I"m hoping you're at the hospital now. Good luck. Praying that everything's ok.

Spotting is definitely something that happens during some yeast infections when you are PG. It happened to me with my first child. I had used a suppository then I guess my cervix became irritated. If you have had sex recently it could be from that too.

If you are really worried go to the ER. (I'd go in personally to see what is going on)

I bet everything will be fine.

When I had bleeding at 11 weeks, I too had just heard the heartbeat the day before at my appointment. My midwife wasn't too concerned and told me the same thing about being fairly certain it wasn't a miscarriage, even though aI wasn't nearly as far along as you are now. She offered to have me come in to listen for the baby's heartbeat. If they can't get you in for an ultrasound this weekend, you should aske to at least come in and see if they can listen for the baby. It won't tell you what the bleeding is from, but hearing your little one would be reassuring.

Bleeding is always so worrisome but so many women have bleeding and the baby is fine. I hope you get the reassurance you need! Follow your instincts, mama!

Thanks everyone for your kind words and thoughts. It means so much to me. I have been resting and taking it slow. I got a call again from the DR and she said to go to the ER if I get more bleeding or cramping. Otherwise, I can go now if I want or call them first thing on Monday and get an ultrasound on Monday afternoon. So, since I don't have a car yet and it is an hour and a half bus ride to get the the ER, I have decided to wait and see if it gets worse. I am resting a lot and praying even more. If it gets worse, I will go in. Otherwise, I will see them on Monday. I have done some online research and bleeding from bad yeast infections can happen. Mine is terrible! It isn't a lot of blood and now I can only see it slightly when I wipe. I am trying to stay positive since the baby was okay yesterday. I am still nervous though. I went and got a yeast infection treatment that I am going to start today, hopefully that will help. I need some relief.

So, please keep your thoughts and prayers coming that baby will be okay. This is so much stress for a little one and I just want everything okay. I have wanted this baby for so long. I am trying to keep repeating what the DR said....Baby was fine yesterday and is probably fine today. She said that MRSA could have caused an infection in my cervix as well that could have caused some bleeding. Crossing my fingers.

This was my thought, too. The combination of low platelets, unprovoked nosebleed, and vaginal bleeding definitely seems like something that should be looked into further, even if nothing is directly wrong with the pregnancy.

I did have a very low platelet count and then a week later it was within normal, but on the very low side. I am still scheduled to see the hematologist on the 3rd and see if we can find a cause for the platelet issue. You both bring up a really good point though and I am going to see if I can get it checked out asap. I very well be low platelet counts as I never have nose bleeds and it came at the same time as the other bleeding. Thanks again!

Hoping everything is OK! I had horrible yeast with DS1 along with bacterial infection---a vicious cycle, antibacterial gel to kill the BV then that would cause yeast so yeast stuff to get rid of that....fun fun. Yes, spotting can definently come from that!

hoping that's all it is and you get it all figured out!
